Driving down the 2000' private, wooded drive that winds through our 23 acre property you are welcomed by the reflecting pond and the home. Wanting to go inside you are drawn to the front lawn at the waters edge. Here on the front lawn at Jordan Point is a slice of heaven wrapped up in the coast of Maine with Cadillac and Sargent Mountain down the cove on the horizon. Listen, what's that, that's right you do not hear anything, except the ocean. This is why you're here. Now it's time to go explore the home and the welcome basket waiting within. Through the entry way and into the living room the welcome basket awaits, perched on the granite fireplace beneath the beautiful wood clad cathedral ceiling. The welcome basket is made up of local candies, local made blueberry pancake mix, and a sampling from one of the local micro breweries. Time to enjoy the basket as you continue to explore the Jordan Point House. A wrap-around deck with built in seats awaits you outside of the sun room.

The reason why you have come to Maine on your vacation, Acadia National Park and the coast of Maine. Miles of groomed carriage roads, walking and biking are two excellent ways to see the park up close. Eagle lake, Witch hole and Jordan pond are just a few of the beautiful carriage roads in Acadia. There are many lakes, streams and plenty of open ocean. You can go canoeing, kayaking and take a sea kayaking tour to explore the Island. Bring your own kayaks and put in right off of the front door step of the Jordan Point House and you are off into Frenchman's Bay and beyond. The park has it all with Cadillac Mountain to sand beach walks, whale watching, exploring the rocky coastline, rock climbing, charter fishing, a glider ride, horseback riding, scuba diving, a waterslide park, go cart rides, mini golf, or regular golf, witness mother natures awesome power at thunder hole, explore coastal caves, or enjoy a day of shopping and cap it all off with a wonderful dining experience.

Movies, board games, books on the area, informational binder on area info, nerf toys, Frisbees, wi'ffle balls and bat, a gameroom with a foosball and hockey table!!!! A private ice skating pond!!! A Doggy play area!!! With doggy door access into the lower level of the home, your pet can come and go as he/she pleases!! The play area consists of a 20'x50' fenced in area, for the times when he/she cannot come on the adventure with you. There is a jar of dog treats on hand at all times for you to hand out as you see fit! We have had pets petition to stay longer!! And our trademark complimentary welcome basket!.

The deck looks over at the 18 hole Bar Harbor Golf course, as well as the water. The golf course is a nice place to take a walk in the evening. There is a dining room, and a kitchen. There is a sun room off of the kitchen with books on things to do in the area. The living room with a wall of windows looks out into the bay. The living room has a large granite fireplace, accented with a cathedral ceiling. There is a wonderful fireplace for those evenings when you want to take the chill off. Having twenty three acres of piece and quiet all to yourself, being on a point, on the coast of Maine, is a vacation like no other. Acadia Acres, Jordan Point House is the vacation home for you.

Perhaps you would like to have a Maine Seafood feast, otherwise known as a Lobster or Clam bake around here. Call your order into the Trenton Lobster Pound (5 minutes drive max) have them cook your feast. Pick up your order, and have your own private Maine Seafood feast. Lamoine beach, set in Lamoine State Park is a quiet, less traveled ocean beach and it is only a few minutes from the home. The Bar Harbor golf course is right next door, you can walk to the club house. The less traveled Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula is a way to see the bold coast of Maine in its raw form. It is a little over a 1/2 hour drive from the Jordan Point House. You choose your adventure!
