Terrific Maine cottage with views of Harmon's Harbor and its own tidal access only 100 yards away. Bring your own kayak and paddle to the Atlantic. The following activities are all within walking distance: Enjoy both fresh/saltwater fishing and swimming, as well as a full service marina and boat charters or rentals (only a few minutes to Boothbay Harbor by boat); the town dock/lobster wharf where you can enjoy the freshest catch while watching the lobster man bring in the fruits of their labor - or buy directly off their boats and bring back to prepare in the fully equipped kitchen. There are two nature preserves, one of which touts over a half mile of coastline and a private sand beach at your disposal. Tennis and basketball are nearby. Stop in to the local gourmet farmers market to buy fresh produce, wine, cheese, crackers, and more.

A five minute drive takes you to sand beaches at Reid State Park or a hike and mountain bike on the park's miles of trails. You may even get to catch a mountain bike race in progress. The park has a sheltered lagoon that is perfect for small children where they can build sand castles or wade safely under the watchful eyes of the lifeguards. Hike the Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary, with a few hundred acres and a mile of sheltered coastline. The newest sanctuary in town, Higgins Mountain, boasts views of Mt. Washington from the top. Be sure to pay a visit to Georgetown's growing Historical Society. Kayaking, bike rentals, world class striper fishing, excellent gourmet dining and another marina are within a ten minute drive. Pets permitted by appointment.
