Artfully decorated and furnished this charming Victorian cottage has had a wonderful face-lift. Located just a 'Stone's Throw' from the waterfront, public dock, and public golf course this bright, vibrant, light and comfortable two bedroom cottage sits privately in a lovely natural setting. With four windows light floods the first floor kitchen offering a lovely view of the private back yard. The kitchen is completely outfitted including the must have lobster pot for cooking in or warming up take out! Off the kitchen is a bath with shower. The living/dining room is an open floor plan with a dining table that easily seats four and has to leaves to accommodate six. A spiral staircase leads up to the second floor to a small bedroom with a twin and a fold out double - this room passes through to the larger bedroom that has a queen. Sweet and fun! The new screen porch adds a complete room that allows for outdoor eating, entertaining, or just reading a good book.

Bayside offers glorious morning walks along our shore roads and beaches to take in the pristine nature, loons swimming well within sight, occasional seals looking for breakfast, the aroma of flowers in bloom, incredible sunsets and sunrises and the living history of this 1800's community reminding you of how life was over 100 years ago. Bayside Village in the town of Northport is beautifully located on Penobscot Bay (some of the most premier cruising grounds anywhere) right in the heart of Mid-Coast Maine with the historic waterfront towns of Camden just 15-20 minutes to the south and Belfast just 5 minutes to the north. Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor are just over an hour north and equally distanced to the south is Boothbay Harbor. Call or email for availability.

I have stayed at Stone's Throw in the early spring, mid summer and late fall. I love this cottage it is clean, bright, quiet and private. You are a short walk from the park and beach. The screened in porch is wonderful, my grandchildren and I cuddle up( when it is cool) and read books in the morning and in the evening we would have our dinner out there. I am looking foward to going to my home away from home this 2009 season. Don't forget to take a stroll on the walking bridge in Belfast.
