Great House, Great Location! Excellent Condition Inside and Out! Within walking distance ( 1/2 mile) to Scarborough State Beach. This is a well keep, saltbox colonial on the entrance road to Eastward Look North from Burnside Ave. It offers 5 large bedrooms, 2 full baths and a hot / cold outdoor shower. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen with new stove and microwave, washer and dryer, large family room, 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom, easy access to the back yard patio and private fenced in backyard. The 2nd floor has 2 large bedrooms with AC, a full bathroom and loft. Pictures posted were taken Labor day 2008 and house is in excellent condition. It is always very clean and it is painted in bright cheery beach colors. The bathrooms are also in immaculate condition as we are very particular about providing bathrooms that meet our guests highest expectations. This location is very convenient to all the attractions that Narragansett has to offer - 3 state beaches+town beach

The house is located on the corner of Charlestown and Exeter Blvd. It is a little less than 1/2 mile from Scarborough State Beach 5-10 min walk, and a 5 min drive to Roger Wheeler State Beach and Salty Brine State Beach), Block Island Ferry, South County Bike Path and the Port of Galilee. It is a short 20 minute drive to many area golf courses, Newport, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos. Narragansett offers many activities all summer long including the Summer Music Series in the Park, Concerts on the Beach, Weekly Dancing at the Tower, fireworks, play grounds, fishing pier, surfing, Pier Market Shopping Village. All are within a 5 minute walk. Come enjoy the splendor of this historic, ocean side resort.

  • Our bathrooms are maintained to my wife's very high standards. They are in very good condition, nicely decorated and very clean.

  • The house has 5 large bedrooms; 2 king size beds and 3 queen size beds all with new good quality comfortable mattresses. (We use to be so disappointed in rentals with bad beds that we know how important good quality matress is when you are on vacation.) There are also 2 queen-size futons and 1 twin pull out. There are 2 large bedrooms with king size beds, AC and cable TV on the 2nd floor. One room has a futon and the other has a pull out twin love seat, and the 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor all have queen size beds. One bedroom down stairs bedroom has cable TV and AC. The other 2 bedrooms down stairs have ceiling fans. There is a full bathroom on each floor. There is a 4 portable fans in the house that can be moved where desired. Bed linens and towels are not provided.

Notes: Large fenced yard, wireless high speed internet connection; 4 TVs - 3 bedrooms and family room; fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, microwave, gas grill, picnic table and many more amenities. The neighborhood has a playground which has swings, basketball court, jungle gym, tennis courts, etc. The house is tastefully decorated, very nicely appointed and was recently renovated throughout. The house if not officailly handicapped accessible but the porch/patio is 4-5' off the ground and the sliding door is 3-4' off the porch/patio so it does offer easy access to the first floor and back porch/patio. The main access door is 4 inches off the driveway as well. Everything you need for a memorable vacation or family gathering / reunion.

I have been renting beach properties in Rhode Island for the past ten years, mostly in the Misquamicut area. This year due to rising rental prices in Misquamicut I decided to look at Narragansett. This was my first experience dealing directly with the homeowner and I was very pleased with the results. Usually I go through a rental agency as I have always thought it was the "safest way to go". Carl and his wife always answered my questions about the property promptly and sent the lease immediately which was very reassuring. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the home and how all our needs were anticipated, right down to the perfect pan to make our nightly brownies. Although I usually am closer to the beach, my kids and I rode bikes daily and found Ocean Drive to be wide enough to accomodate bikers easily. The weather was ok, and we were impressed with the cleanliness and "many lifeguards" at Scarborough State Beach. I would highly recommend this property.
