This wonderful flat is located on the 3rd floor of a building from the 18th century, at Alfama one of the oldest parts of Lisbon.

It is decorated with a mixture of modern and ancient, and it is full of sunlight that you can enjoy from inside or relaxing in one of the 2 terraces, wile having a glance of the river, or seing the cats sleeping on the roofs of the medieval neighborhood.

This apartment is at Alfama, the medieval Moorish neighborhood where an emerging cosmopolitanism mixes with the “natives” day-to-day life. It is a village in the heart of the city, due to the fact that most of Alfama’s residents have lived here their entire lives and retain a strong sense of community.

The apartment has 110 square meters, and it has been recently renovated to include the following:

- Two bedrooms with double beds (140 cm wide), one of them with access to one of the terraces.

- One bedroom with two bunk beds.

- A living room with sofa with satellite TV and Hi-Fi and access to one of the terraces.

- A small room with a double sofa bed and a window opened to the kitchen.

- A complete kitchen with electric oven and stove, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and also dish washer; The window between the kitchen and the room has a table with place to sit eight persons.

- A complete bathroom with bathtub.

- A shower.

- Two terraces with a beautiful view over Lisbon's roofs and river Tejo.

Best place I have been staing. About 25 min walk to the center. Taxi is about 3,5€ to the center. Beach is not so near about 30 min walk and 40 min in train. Really good for friends having a good time. But I think it's even better for couples and families. Good restaurants right at the downstairs. No clubs nearby, so you can sleep your nights in peace. Also there is a small grocery store, about 5 min walk, almost on the other side of the fado museum.

Very authentic Lisbon experience

We enjoyed our stay in alfama. Leave the windows open at night at
night and you can hear the Fado restaurants on the streets below.
Apartment was clean and spacious. Note that it is 60 steps up from the street
(I counted) good exercise. We easily walked into Chaido and Barrio alto, and the appalonia train station.

I have never been out of the United States and one thing I like about staying in the apartment was the location. It was great to look out the window and observe city life in Portugal. The apartment was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The washer and dryer was a wonderful additive. The gentleman who checked up in nice and asked what we were there for and interested in. He mentioned several sites as well as added a few we didn't know. The apartment was clean and I loved looking out the many windows.

Living in alfama for some days gave us a taste of the real Lisbon. With the sights , railroadstations and shopping just an inspiring 20 minutes walk or taxitrip away the location is excellent. Thxs also to TTL staff which helped us with the small things that came up faster than using the concierce on a hotel. Family of 4 , Oslo Norway

Great location in the centre of alfama. But the taxi was not able to take us to the door because the streets are too narrow. We then got lost in the maze of little streets, although the apartment was very close to where we were dropped off at the Fado Museum. (Get directions from the Fado Museum to the door from TravellingtoLisbon)

The welcome was very good, with a lot of detail given about places we might be interested in visiting. The apartment was very pleasant, with a lovely balcony off one of the bedrooms where we took breakfast. The big problem for us: there are no windows that open to the outside in 2 of the 3 bedrooms - a problem if you like to sleep with the window open. Otherwise it was great.
