These include Cobleskill's Golf Course, Howe Caverns the Iroquois Museum; Schoharie's Old Stone Fort; Cooperstown's Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmer's Museum, Fenimore Art Museum and Glimmerglass Opera; the Zoom Flume water park, near Cairo; great restaurants such as Rensellaerville's Palmer House Cafe, and the 18th-century Tory Tavern, outside Schoharie; Irish music festivals and bar scenes in East Durham; public fishing at Catskill Creek; boating on Franklinton Vly; ; endless antiquing at Oak Hill, Preston Hollow and other towns; even horseback riding, at our nearby in-laws' farm.

Further details for this vacation cottage rental in Middleburgh, New York

This is an exceptionally beautiful and quiet spot--flowers and migrating birds in spring; fireflies and berries in summer; apples from our trees in fall. Summer is pleasantly cool--no need for air-conditioning. Winter is snowy and cold--great for cross-country skiing, sledding and skating. You can cook outdoors on our charcoal grill, or use the backyard wood-burning fireplace; lots of free firewood available.

Here is what some of our guests have written us: 'This was a perfect getaway place for us in every way.'--Michaela Faella (2006) 'You have a beautiful spot here. Thanks--we would like to come again.' Eileen Brady-Nelson (2004) 'We really had a wonderful time there. I'm happy to be a reference if any potential renters inquire.' Leslie Nobel (2003)

This is our family place, not primarily a business property. To keep our prices low and maintain the nice atmosphere, we hope to attract tenants who will treat the place with the love and respect we feel for it. We tend to attract urban couples and small familes on vacation, as well as writers, artists and grad students needing a quiet place to work.

Other Activities: Swimming pond out back
