Exquisite Waterfront Antique Cape w/ Charming Guest Cottage

This home was absolutely perfect for our family getaway on the beach. This was our first trip to the cape and we found the location to be ideal. A short drive to Plymouth, Cape Cod, Boston, the rapid transit - or the "T"- which took us right to Boston from Braintree (There is a parking area where we left our car for the day and it was only a few bucks). The owners have excellent taste as the home was very welcoming and comfortable, not to mention well maintained. ALL the amenities of home - iron, cookware, cleaning products, air freshener, bath and beach towels, wi fi, even some spices for cooking. Other renters asked about the house, saying they want to try renting it for their next vacation.

Fun on the water is just a stones throw away...literally! My kids very much enjoyed skipping rocks, fishing right outside our door, swimming in the ocean that is just around the corner, playing on the grass, and hiking on the mountains of rock down the beach. Only downfall was that this side of the shore has colder water than on the cape...which we had heard from friends, but it didn't really take away from the fun.

I rented this house for me and my family (8 people). Everybody loved the house. It has everything you need for a summer vacation. Close to the great beach. Nice and clean rooms. Great views over the water. Great porch to hang out on. Big living and family room. Big bed rooms. A nice and big house to spend time with family or friends.

This property exceeded my greatest expectations as the base for a family reunion and a joint vacation for me, my wife, my two adult sons and their families. It's location offers semi-privacy with continual action of marine traffic parading past the deck, view of ocean, river, marsh and marina and a short walk to a very sandy private community beach. We brought a kayak and should have brought two for the river offered safe paddling when the tide was up and great exploring for the younger kids when it was out.

We came from VA & KY with our other relatives who rented elsewhere from OH or lived in MA and CT. All exclaimed how perfect this property was for a vacation and the site of our all day reunion on Thursday.

The owners were extremely helpful and interested in us enjoying our stay. They live not far away and we had the impression that any thing we needed or any problem would receive immediate attention. The house was very well equiped and supplied including the cooking implements for our own Lobster/Clam bake.

While we felt this was to be a one time event for our extended family, the experience has some of us rethinking that, perhaps, we should consider making it an annual event for at least my generation (55+)
