This property was okay but somewhat disappointing and lower than our expectations. Our first impression, when we saw the mold on the door, was panic, but inside was clean and comfortable, if somewhat worn. It looked better in the photos than it did in person. The screen doors kept falling off the tracks and there were tears in the screen on the porch. Overall, I might stay there again, but I felt it presented better in the photos than in person.
Owner's Response: Once we learned about mold on the door, we quickly had our property management company remove it. However, it is important to know that this is a common problem for beachfront rentals because of rapid temperature changes and high humidity. Relative to the comment about our place being worn, over the last 14 months the bathroom has been completely updated with tile and stone, the kitchen countertops and cabinets have been completely updated with granite and 42 inch cabinets, and we recently put in stainless steel appliances. Finally, our bedroom has completely new high-grade carpeting, a new desk and dresser, and we installed a daybed in our foyer. Our property agents have listed this property as a 4 star our of a potential of 5 stars. This is a highly coveted rating.
