Sanibel Island Vacation Rental condo

This unit was very tastefully done! It has been remodeled with a new open kitchen with plenty of space, black granite and a lovely new stainless steel fridge. The parking space was very close to the first floor unit making it a good choice for a walking disabled person. But there was still a small flight of stairs between the car and the unit. I think there is a ramp if you want to go a little further.
The unit has a nice screened porch in front from which you can see the ocean. However you have to be outside to see the water. You can't sit in the unit and see the water easily as it sits sideways. That however did not diminish our enjoyment of being right on the beach. We were there in late October which is a very good time to be in Florida.

The pool is nice and the courtyard of the property is very nicely landscaped. Every time a palm leaf dropped it seems some maintenance person rushed over and grabbed it. They keep the bushes very closely clipped and neat. A small blue heron surprised us by looking in the screen porch one day. It is a great place for birders and shellers. There is a huge asssortment of restaurants. The condo has a guide book to direct you to almost anything you'd want to do. We rented a boat and a captain one day and went fishing. Everything is very clean and well maintained. We used the grills one night, they could have been better lit up so you could grill after dark.
This development has activities during the week for children of all ages. There were no programs on the weekend in October. The property office is open Mon - Sat but not on Sunday.

This unit is near the 2 tennis courts and they have tennis rackets you can use for free. The tennis pro from Casa Ybel (Chris) will come over to Point Santo and give lessons. He was great and I had a wonderful time.
The unit has a stacked washer and dryer and the condo comes with all the supplies you need for a week like dish washer detergent and liquid dish soap and a roll of paper towels. It does feel like a home away from home. The owner is easy to deal with. This unit is booked practically every week, so book far in advance! Please be aware that during the high season - (the Holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas) there is some echoing from kids yelling in the pool. People with kids like this place a lot. October is very quiet.
I recommend doing your grocery shopping in Ft. Myers before you arrive and cross over the causeway as the prices are a lot cheaper off the island.
