Truro Vacation Rental house

Just returned from our week on the Cape. This rental is a must!! We found the home to be impeccable. Every amenity you could possibly need was present (i.e. from kitchen gadgets and equipment, BBQ grill, hammock to relax in, books and games for a rainy day). The house was located on a cul de sac in the woods which is great if you have kids. The location in Truro was ideal. Away from the hustle and bustle of the Hyannis area and close to the artsy Provincetown and infamous Cape Cod National Seashore.
This home was truly a home away from home and I would highly recommend it!!

The Homeaway pictures reflected a beautiful home nestled in the woods with an open floor plan that seemed to invite nature inside. Even with that expectation, we were unprepared for what a wonderful vacation experience this home provided, and I do indeed mean “home.” The furnishings are lovely with an artistic eye for a blend of contemporary and antique. Rooms are bright and spacious, and the living area is open looking over a secluded wooded lot. Kitchen is better stocked than my own and would satisfy a gourmet cook unless he or she wanted to take the short trip into Provincetown for dining at the many eateries. Minutes from the beach, yet off in a quiet residential area, the location is perfect. It may also be the cleanest place we have ever stayed, and we travel quite a bit in and out of the U.S. Everything a family could possibly need is provided; nothing has been overlooked. See the other reviews for some itemizations. This is definitely on our “never stay anywhere else” list.

Pictures do not adequately convey the peaceful beauty and spacious charm of this home tucked in a clearing in the pines and white sands. Sheltered from the winds and very private with the sense that the ocean is not far. Feels like you are in the National Seashore lands because home is located at the very end of a residential road rather apart from other houses. Short drive to several of the most spectacular ocean beaches on the Cape (especially close to Long Nook, but also to Balston and Head of the Meadow), and to Highland Lighthouse. We used to vacation nearby when we were kids and loved the ocean beaches best. But bay beaches (younger children) are also close by. Perfectly situated between Provincetown (we had an amazing day out on the Dolphin Fleet's whale watch from MacMillan Wharf, homemade ice cream near the wharf, fun climbing the Pilgrim Tower for views out and history in the local museum at the base of the tower) and Wellfleet (charming bookstores, shops, and good grocery). Something fun for everyone in the family. No need to ever go to town, though. Great organic vegetable market (with all basics) right at road entrance. Especially enjoyed the hammock under the trees and the spacious kitchen/dining/living area for our family celebration. Incredibly comfy living room furniture encouraged gentle gathering for conversation, reading, and dozing. Would be great for family movie nights, or board games at the table, too. Private downstairs bed and bath makes the home ideal for reunions of grown children and their parents (with a room upstairs for single sibs, friends, or grandkids, master bedroom, and bath off the hall). Two steps (with rail) at back entrance to house, two steps (no rail) at the front entrance, three or four steps (with rail) up a sturdy side entrance to the downstairs bed & bath. Upstairs master bedroom has a sunny side room within it w/desk -- very nice study space. Exquisitely decorated, impeccably clean, all the amenities, wonderful owners, outstanding customer service. A real home away from home. We are spreading the word to extended family and friends on the east coast and plan to return for future family gatherings.
