'Myst Haven Cottage' is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath ranch (sleeps 5) on Balsam Way, a private road. Located on the 'quiet side' of the island just a 5 minute drive to quaint Southwest Harbor. Also, accessible to the free Island Explorer bus.

Listen to the ocean sounds and Western Way bell at night. A 5 minute walk to the Seawall Beach (a rocky beach) portion of Acadia National Park. Very close to Wonderland, Ships Harbor and Bass Harbor Head Light (visited by President Obama and his family on 7/18/10). Watch the fishing boats and yachts come and go through the Western Way as you stand on Seawall Beach. Just a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor, which offers dining and shopping.

The house sits on a wooded acre lot that is very peaceful. Lie in the hammock out back and listen to the ocean as the mist rolls around you on certain bright sunny summer days. The stars are so bright at night you could almost touch them.

Kayaking, canoeing, beach picnics, hiking Wonderland and Ships Harbor (President Obama visited last week 7/18/10) along with Bass Harbor Head Light, nearby - Cadillac Mountain 25 minutes by car, sailing/boating, swimming at Echo Lake (a freshwater lake 10 minutes from the house), fishing, bicycling, fine dining and shopping in Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor or Bar Harbor.

Golf at Kebo Valley Golf Club, Bar Harbor (20 minutes), or Causeway Club in Southwest Harbor (10 minutes)
