Truro has the best of both worlds for it is quiet but with many activities for your enjoyment. During the day you have your own private beach to take walks on or may visit one of the other beaches on the bay side or ocean side of Cape Cod. From fishing to swimming to surfing to sun tanning, it is all available to you within a short distance. If you have had a little to much beach activity and are looking for something else to do then a whale watch is a must. The waters surrounding Cape Cod are full of life and a beautiful thing to experience. There is also great birding, abundant blueberry picking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, surfing, fishing and many other ways to enjoy the National Seashore. Within a short distance from the home is Highland Light Golf Course for the golfers in the party, Highland museum for the cultured tourist or take an afternoon of wine tasting at the Truro Vineyards.
