An oasis of tranquility

I recently spent a week at Las Sabilas and will definitely go back!! It is a quiet, rustic and peaceful place within block of the center of the Historical District. The garden Suite is beautiful, well-maintained and your private garden is amazing. The staff will do anything to make your stay even more enjoyable. A local taxi driver lives right across the street and can be reserved for your travel needs. Max, the resident manager is a wonderful man who stops at nothing to help in any way. If you are looking for a fancy upscale hotel with all the amenities, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a clean, quiet, relaxing, centrally-located and very friendly small B&B, this is the place for you. I recommend it highly.

A Great Place to stay

We had an excellent time at Las Sabilas. The owner Robert and manager Max were absolutely awesome. So nice and helpful. The place was exactly everything it promised to be. Beautiful, well kept, and relaxing. My daughter made good use of the pool. We would definitely recommend it and would most likely stay there or one of the other properties next time We are in Guadalajara.

Absolutely wonderful!

Our stay at Las Sabilas was truly the best and most memorable of our entire 6-week vacation in Mexico . Max and Robert treated us like old friends, making us feel not only welcome, but at home. The property provides a beautiful and tranquil sanctuary from the busy and noisy city of Guadalajara . I called it our “ Secret Garden ”. And the shared sitting area was a wonderful place to visit with other guests, swapping stories and sharing experiences and drinks after a busy day of sightseeing. Max and Robert – thank you so much for all that you did for us. You are warm and wonderful people. We
really were sad to leave, and hope to come back again some day.

A charming garden with great rooms!

I spent a quick 5 day get-away by my 'lonesome' at Las Sabilas- yet I was never alone! The staff and guests at Las Sabilas make this the most welcoming and relaxing guest house. The rooms are spacious, with fine furniture and 'mexican themed' touches, and the gardens w/ pool seem to tie it all together as one true work of art. I felt a sense of 'calm' as soon as I entered through the gate. I will return to Guadalajara in the future and know that my visits will always be full of fun, adventure, and now family while staying at Las Sabilas.

Spent a week in Guadalajara in late May at Las Sabilas. Both the city and the hotelito were beyond my expectations. I visited most Mexican Colonial Cities before going to GDL. I like DF, but assumed GDL was a big city with the disadvantages and none of the advantages of DF. I was wrong. GDL is a wonderful destination and has several interesting nearby cities to visit - Tlaquepacque, Zapopen, Tonala, Tequila, Chapala, and Ajijicc were all worth a visit.
Bob Clark and Las Sabilas provide the ideal destination for your stay in GDL. Bob has created an oasis within a short walking distance to the dynamic center of the city. Bob now lives a couple blocks away in his new project and visits each morning for coffee and conversation with guests. You will have 24 access to a high speed internet Mac computer, free phone service to the US, and the kitchen. Bob also has a couple artists in residence that offer as much guidance and friendship as you may desire. A taxi driver living across the street is available as needed. There are local markets close by and a huge mercado a ten minute walk away for all your liquor and food needs.
I will be going back with my wife who also is a lover of the cities in Central Mexico.
