Situated in the East End on Mayflower Heights this quaint quiet area captures the imagination of an era gone by. Enjoy your vacation in this spotless, well-maintained, eclectically designed private residence. This hilltop escape provides panoramic views of Provincetown Bay and the coast from the Long Point Lighthouse to Wellfleet . The first floor is a spacious area consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room, and at the front of the house a screened-in porch which captures the fabulous views while you eat, read or relax. There's also a laundry room and a full bath. The second floor has three bedrooms and another full bath. All mattresses are brand new and very comfortable. Deeded beach access, directly across the street, will put you right in the warm waters of Provincetown Bay. After a day at the beach you'll find yourself just over a mile away from Provincetown Center with its local restaurants, art galleries, shops, and nightlife.

Located at the tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown is one of the most picturesque towns in New England. Originally an old whaling and fishing village it has survived to offer a unique waterfront town with splendid views, distinct sunsets, art galleries, great restaurants, bars, shopping, shows, museums and exceptional whale watching. More than half of Provincetown is protected by the National Sea Shore which offers beaches untouched by time, bike paths through the dunes, auto dune tours and the best show in town - the sunset. This property is located just over a mile from the center of Town easily accessible by bike, public town shuttle ($2), or cab ride ($5 per person).

From this property there is a deeded beach access directly across the street. The warm waters of Cape Cod Bay allow daily swimming and when the tide goes out you can walk for miles. The outer beaches a.k.a. the National Sea Shore ( Race Point and Herring Cove) are located within three miles of the house. From this property Provincetown Center is just over a mile away. Easily accessible by bike, a cab ride or by taking the Town Shuttle bus ($2). The shuttle runs every twenty minutes and you can flag it down right in front of the house.

When it's time to escape from the excitement of the Town, return home and cool off with a quick dip and then a refreshing outdoor shower. Perhaps relax with a cocktail in the large private yard with fabulous water views of the bay. After grilling your dinner enjoy it in the quiet surroundings of your screened-in porch with the same fabulous water views.

Six people maximum. Pets are allowed with special approval. There is a $75.00 pet fee per week. Daily and weekly maid service can be arranged as well as advance shopping for your favorite foods and drinks which will be in place for your arrival.

Golf: The Highland Links Golf Course is five miles down the road in Truro. The Chequessett Golf Course is about 10 miles down the road in Wellfleet.

Other Activities: Whale watching, Dune Tours and Bike Trails throughout the National Seashore.

We loved it! The landlord takes good care of the property and we had a delightful time.We weren't interested in renting a posh beach house, we were interested in an authentic Cape Cod House which has character. And we found it! Thanks again for a lovely time.

Secluded Hideaway in the Middle of the Action!

Our family (including two teenage boys and a 3-year-old) vacationed at the Mayflower House for the first time in July 2008. As soon as we walked up to the house it was clear that the owner takes great pride in the property; both the yard and the house were very clean and well cared for. There is an abundance of outdoor seating, all overlooking the Bay. The first floor is a beautiful, open, airy space (the online pics don't do it justice) with a bathroom, cute kitchen, large dining room and wonderful living area with plenty of room to flop. The living room leads to the great screened porch which runs the width of the house and includes another dining table, couch, chairs, etc. The bedrooms were a perfect size for us and each had its own special view. And the supplies!!...when she says all you need are beach blankets and beach towels she isn't kidding. The kitchen and 2 (full!) bathrooms were completely stocked with more than enough soap, cleaning supplies, towels, etc. The location was perfect for us as it's a short walk to the beach, on the shuttle route and close to town with all its shops and restaurants yet just far enough off the beaten path to enjoy quiet family time as well. I'd highly recommend a stay at the Mayflower House for anyone looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.

Heaven on Earth

Our family has been vacationing in the North Truro/Provincetown area of the Cape for many years but last year by far was our BEST!! The description of the house is more than accurate but we feel cannot do the beauty and tranquility of it justice. The property was immaculate and every ammenity you could want for and MORE was provided. The view of the bay is stunning from the yard or just lying in the bed. Very easy access to town
and all local beaches. The owner is extremely easy to correspend with and was there to greet us upon arrival. I cried like a baby our last day and even the dog was depressed. We knew we would return the second we arrived there and are counting the days until June.!
