This is a spacious second floor 3 bed corner apartment with all day sun. Spectacular views from the large south facing and encircling balcony looking across the Mar Menor Sea to La Manga. NEW bathroom for 2015. The beach is just in front of the apartment and the Lo Pagan yacht marina is close by. There are patio doors leading from the living room and every bedroom to the balcony. You can either simply sit on the balcony with a bottle of chilled cava enjoying the warm sea breeze and people watch or if you prefer, go for a swim, a boat ride, a bike ride or fishing trip. Alternatively save your energy until late evening and wander around the many local bars and restaurants.If you have children then the local fair is a unavoidable, located by the marina. A British bar is only next door selling English breakfasts and other popular dishes or there is Giovanni's ( a guests favourite) Italian / Pizzaria. A Spar supermarket around the corner or a Carrefour Express only 75 mtrs further. Public transport and taxi's are just a stones throw away.

Lo Pagan is a very Spanish beach resort with numerous bars and restaurants catering from English, Portuguese, Italian, American, Chinese and of course authentic Spanish seafood and tapas. The beaches of the Mar Menor with soft sand and shallow water make them ideal for children. Take a leisurely stroll along the miles of promenade shaded by palm trees. Night-life is plentiful with clubs and street cafés, outside shows and beach activities plus a fairground. Not forgetting of course the numerous local fiestas having carnivals and live music. In the winter months it is very restful but there are still a plenty of bars, restaurants and shops available. For those who like shopping there is 'Dos Mares' a shopping mall only 2 km away with two floors of modern shops, cafés, McDonalds, Burger King, bowling, games arcade and cinema. Alternatively there is the new La Zenia Boulavard shopping centre containing a Casino and europes largest Primark. This is about 5 miles away. For your every day needs a supermarket is just around the corner with banks, chemists, etc., all nearby

Lo Pagan is famous for its therapeutic mud baths and thalasiotherapy centres. Hundreds of Spaniards come to the local salt lakes to cover themselves head to foot in the theraputic mud, stroll along the sea wall whilst the mud bakes then bathe in the Mar Menor. The mud is said to have a number of healing properties.

Whilst the salt lakes are a thriving local industry still producing salt for export. Part of the wetlands are now a Nature Reserve protecting various animal and bird life including flamingos. There are designated walkways through the lakes for sightseers and birdwatchers. To the back of the salt lakes you can go over the sand dunes and you are on the Mediterranean Sea with miles of unspoilt and an uncrowded beach. Follow the road through the salt lakes and this will take you to the fishing port and international marina which has been modernised introducing more restaurants and facilities.

New to Lo Pagan, by the salt lakes, is a new water therapy venue, Thalasia, catering for all types of massage, beauty and relaxation therapies including jet pools and jacuzzi.

Sporty types are well catered for . The new Pinatar Arena has a huge gymnasium with all modern keep fit & body building equipment. This arena also has football pitches attracting top teams like Borussia Dortmond & Molde for pre or mid season tournaments. Premiership teams are expected to follow.

There are several top golf courses nearby, Villamartin, Real Campoamor, Roda, etc. The world famous La Manga golf is only an half hour drive.

Airport transfers can be arranged or car hire on your behalf with either collection at airports or delivered to the apartment. Min 3 day hire. All sizes of vehicle available subject to availability.

Prices available from owner. It is essential to book early for peak season as cars are not always available at short notice.

The perfect place

We just got back from a relaxing Easter break and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. Cheap too. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped. The view was to 'die for'. The area catered for all our needs supermarkets, market bars, restaurants & taxi's all on hand. The Easter procession was very special. We'll be back.

"Great Location - Apartment Needs Upgrading"

This flat enjoys a great location but sadly is in need of some TLC. It would benefit greatly from the instillation of both a new kitchen and bathroom. The beach and promenade are fantastic and the lagoon with the therapeutic mud is also interesting and great fun to try. Lo Pagan has a number of nice restaurants serving great food at reasonable prices. This is a peaceful place where you can kick back, relax and enjoy the wonderful view and the warm weather. A visit to the city of Cartagena on the bus is a great way to spend a day out.

Owner's Response: A plan for refurbishment in 2014 & 2015 is already planned. Refurbishment started this year with painting & new bedding but demand for the apartment has been high with many returning clients so time available for refurb has been scarce. We also wish to keep prices for this front line location as low as possible and a large outlay at one time would prohibit this. However, we will continue to work to ensure everyone leaves with total satisfaction.

A lovely relaxing stay

Keith met us at the apartment upon arrival and was very helpful with local advice and information. We really enjoyed our week here, the location is very good with ample shops, bars and restaurants locally. we particularly enjoyed the club bar in the marina - very chilled out! We visited the beach around past the marina each day, here there were large inflatables in the sea, where the girls barely paid attention to how long you had played - great fun!

For anyone looking for a more relaxed, economical and well positioned break this is ideal. The only downside was only having one shower - but this is more to do with a family including four women!

Lovely apartment, right on the beach!

This is a lovely clean and airy apartment right on the beach front. Ideal for a quiet get away. We travelled as a party of 3 women (50's) for a long weekend and each had a bedroom. There is one toilet/shower room and a separate wc which is handy. Well equipped and very clean, the apartment had windows onto the balcony from each bedroom and the lounge/dining room. TV, music system, DVD etc made the lounge area very cosy. Keith was very welcoming and we had organised for him to pick us up and drop off at Murcia airport which was about 10 minutes away. He was so kind as to drop us off at the open air market on the Monday before our flight home and then picked us back up again. We went slightly out of season and the temperature was perfect for me, suntanable and slightly 'nippy' at night. As you're on the main front, there are ample bars and eateries along the prom and we ate in Giovanni's Italian restaurant one night at it was excellent value for money. The beach is very clean and serviced daily. There are coffee/drinks cabins (sangria was cheap and fairly potent) on the beach and they also rent out loungers for 10 euro per day. There is a marina 5 minutes along the prom that has a fabulous bar with seated terrace and quite a posh restaurant for the special evening. They also have a coded wi-fi that once logged on, was still within reach from the apartment! Murcia City and Cartagena were reachable by bus, however as we were only there for 3 days (and one of those was a Sunday), we didn't quite suss that out and the taxi prices were a little prohibitive. I will definitely go back again perhaps towards the end of the season when more places are open. Thanks again to Keith for his help.

A real Spanish seaside experience

I was met at the airport and dropped off at the door then showed around the apartment which is very comfortable and certainly has all the amenities you would need for six people should your intention be to self cater that said within a few yards of the property there are ample restaurants to choose from ,,the promenade next to the beach is flat within a few feet of the apartment and runs along the beach towards a paved walkway constructed in recent years and paved all the way and stretching into the sea,, the water is shallow and very clean i swam every day in october a great beach for young children and fabulous for water sports and the apartment really is that close to the beach that anyone sitting on the balcony or preparing a meal does not have to miss out in watching the fun being had by the rest of the family ,,if you like wildlife the salt marshes are a must within easy walking distance and teaming with birds especially the flamingoes which are there in abundance at the moment you can hire bikes just down the road by the windmill ,,,it certainly is worth taking a walk past the marina and round the coast a little to take in the view ,,if you like sunrises and sunsets with a spectacular crescendo of colours then this is the apartment for you positioned on the seafront on the second floor with a wrap around balcony i will return to this apartment in the near future and the added bonus of the owners being English and living in the same town made life so much easier with the wealth of information they have at hand about the area

Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar is situated on the North-West corner of the Mar Menor, Costa Calida. Only ten minutes drive from San Javier (Murcia - MJV) airport. Alicante airport is approx 50 min. San Javier airport is serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and others.

Car hire is not essential as all amenities, public transport and taxi's or bicycle hire are close by to the apartment. Car hire and airport transfers can be arranged by owner. Directions from airports will be made available.

San Pedro del Pinatar town is near by and the cities of Murcia, Cartegena, Alicante and Torrevieja town are all accessible by cheap local bus service. Street markets are San Pedro (Mon) and Lo Pagan (Thur). San Pedro being one of the largest on the Costas. There is a modern Shopping Mall (Dos Mares) nearby with bars, restaurants (McDonalds, Burger King, Subway,etc.) and a bowling & games arcade. Additionally there is now Zenia Boulavard, a massive shopping cente found at La Zenia. For a quieter time visit the nature reserve watching wild flamingos or take a natural therapeutic mud bath.

Other Activities: Children play areas are dotted along the beach and a summer fair close by. Go-Karting and Aquaparks are all just a bus ride away.
