This is a spacious second floor 3 bed corner apartment with all day sun. Spectacular views from the large south facing and encircling balcony looking across the Mar Menor Sea to La Manga. The beach is just in front of the apartment and the Lo Pagan yacht marina is close by. There are patio doors leading from the living room and every bedroom to the balcony. You can either simply sit on the balcony with a bottle of chilled cava enjoying the warm sea breeze and people watch or if you prefer, go for a swim, a boat ride or fishing trip. Alternatively save your energy until late evening and wander around the many local bars and restaurants. A British bar is only next door selling English breakfasts and other popular dishes. A Spar supermarket around the corner. Public transport and taxi's are just a stones throw away.

Lo Pagan is a very Spanish beach resort with numerous bars and restaurants catering from English, Portuguese, Italian, American, Chinese and of course authentic Spanish seafood and tapas. The beaches of the Mar Menor with soft sand and shallow water make them ideal for children. Take a leisurely stroll along the miles of promenade shaded by palm trees. Night-life is plentiful with clubs and street cafés, outside shows and beach activities plus a fairground. Not forgetting of course the numerous local fiestas having carnivals and live music. In the winter months it is very restful but there are still a plenty of bars, restaurants and shops available. For those who like shopping there is 'Dos Mares' a shopping mall only 2 km away with two floors of modern shops, cafés, McDonalds, Burger King, bowling, games arcade and cinema. Alternatively there is the new La Zenia Boulavard shopping centre containing a Casino and europes largest Primark. This is about 5 miles away. For your every day needs a supermarket is just around the corner with banks, chemists, etc., all nearby

Lo Pagan is famous for its therapeutic mud baths and thalasiotherapy centres. Hundreds of Spaniards come to the local salt lakes to cover themselves head to foot in mud, stroll along the sea wall whilst the mud bakes then bathe in the Mar Menor. The mud is said to have a number of healing properties.

Whilst the salt lakes are a thriving local industry still producing salt for export. Part of the wetlands are now a Nature Reserve protecting various animal and bird life including flamingos. There are designated walkways through the lakes for sightseers and birdwatchers. To the back of the salt lakes you can go over the sand dunes and you are on the Mediterranean Sea with miles of unspoilt and an uncrowded beach. Follow the road through the salt lakes and this will take you to the fishing port and international marina which has been modernised introducing more restaurants and facilities.

New to Lo Pagan, by the salt lakes, is a new water therapy venue, Thalasia, catering for all types of massage, beauty and relaxation therapies including jet pools and jacuzzi.

Sporty types are well catered for with several golf courses nearby and now there is the New Pinatar Arena football training ground where famous football teams from around the world come to practice in the spanish sunshine.

Airport transfers can be arranged or car hire on your behalf with either collection at airports or delivered to the apartment. Min 3 day hire. All sizes of vehicle available subject to availability.

Prices available from owner. It is essential to book early for peak season as cars are not always available at short notice.

Lo Pagan, San Pedro del Pinatar is situated on the North-West corner of the Mar Menor, Costa Calida. Only ten minutes drive from San Javier (Murcia - MJV) airport. Alicante airport is approx 50 min. San Javier airport is serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet, Jet2 and others.

Car hire is not essential as all amenities, public transport and taxi's are close by to the apartment. Car hire and airport transfers can be arranged by owner. Directions from airports will be made available.

San Pedro del Pinatar town is near by and the cities of Murcia, Cartegena, Alicante and Torrevieja town are all accessible by cheap local bus service. Street markets are San Pedro (Mon) and Lo Pagan (Thur). San Pedro being one of the largest on the costas. There is a modern Shopping Mall (Dos Mares) nearby with bars, restaurants (McDonalds, Burger King, Subway,etc.) and a bowling & games arcade. For a quieter time visit the nature reserve watching wild flamingos or take a natural therapeutic mud bath.

Other Activities: Children play areas are dotted along the beach and a summer fair close by. Go-Karting and Aquaparks are all a bus ride away.

    A deposit is required within 7 days of reservation.
    Balance of rental to be paid either in four weeks in advance in UK or cash in equivalent euros in on arrival using the Holiday Rentals currency conversion above.
    The rental price is inclusive of all cleaning, laundry and utility charges. Normally access to the property will not be available until after 4.00 pm on day of arrival and on departure day we ask guests to vacate before midday. This is to allow for cleaning. However this maybe flexible where ingoing and outgoing do not coincide.
    The price agreed at the time of reservation refers to the number of days of stay and the number of persons. For any additional persons to the original booking a payment of £15.00 per person, per week, will be required to cover the cost of laundry
  • A 'Welcome Pack ' is provided for all bookings (of 7days or more) in July & August. For other times it can be purchased from 25.00 Euro. Please advise when booking.

    Airport transfers can be arranged. Prices - one way - from 22.00euros from Murcia San Javier,
    or from 60.00euros Alicante
  • Change of bed linen after 7 days with every fortnight booking.
    I regret no all boy or all girl groups under 25 yr of age.
    If arriving after 9.00pm there may be an additional 20.00 Euro charge for being met.

A real Spanish seaside experience

I was met at the airport and dropped off at the door then showed around the apartment which is very comfortable and certainly has all the amenities you would need for six people should your intention be to self cater that said within a few yards of the property there are ample restaurants to choose from ,,the promenade next to the beach is flat within a few feet of the apartment and runs along the beach towards a paved walkway constructed in recent years and paved all the way and stretching into the sea,, the water is shallow and very clean i swam every day in october a great beach for young children and fabulous for water sports and the apartment really is that close to the beach that anyone sitting on the balcony or preparing a meal does not have to miss out in watching the fun being had by the rest of the family ,,if you like wildlife the salt marshes are a must within easy walking distance and teaming with birds especially the flamingoes which are there in abundance at the moment you can hire bikes just down the road by the windmill ,,,it certainly is worth taking a walk past the marina and round the coast a little to take in the view ,,if you like sunrises and sunsets with a spectacular crescendo of colours then this is the apartment for you positioned on the seafront on the second floor with a wrap around balcony i will return to this apartment in the near future and the added bonus of the owners being English and living in the same town made life so much easier with the wealth of information they have at hand about the area

Great stay at Lo Pagan apartment

We booked this apartment based almost entirely on the photos on the website. We were not disappointed. Frontline location was superb. The apartment is nicely appointed and light. The patio doors to front and side allow a near constant breeze which was better than any air conditioning. Two toilets are useful because you always need one when its occupied! TV was great as it had all UK channels and was useful for news and catching up with soaps. Nearby, there are several good restaurants, particularly La Panocha, to which we returned twice. Out of apartment, turn right and walk to main street(200m). Across the street you will see a large corner building with GolfInvest on it. Turn right there and La Panocha is about 50m up that street. Excellent seafood and steaks. Very reasonable prices, as is the case all over the area - very cheap.

We were met at the apartment by Keith and Debbie, who were very helpful and welcoming. We have discussed this in terms of 'our best ever holiday' and we have done a few, so we hope to return in future. We even tried the mud over at the far end of the promenade - interesting! Great walking, swimming, eating and drinking - a great holiday. Many thanks. Ken

Very nice apartment, great location

It is a very nice, clean and well equipped apartment and what a great location, just cross the road and you are on the beach! Beautiful views from the balcony. It is ideal for beach holidays with family friendly beaches within meters. Lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes - that is not more than 2 minutes ;) - walk in Lo Pagan and San Pedro village is not far away either with even more amenities. Restaurante Venezuela and the little cafe in the Lonja de Pescados (the fish market) is a must try. Do not miss Jose Antonio's bakery neither. Bus stops to Murcia, Cartagena or Torrevieja/Alicante and the taxi rank also 2 minutes walk. The owners are the most helpful people ever, I strongly recommend this apartment for holidays for anyone!

Excellent Location Apartment

We have not long returned from our weeks stay at the apartment. It's in an excellent location. Close to all amenities. Apartment is clean and filled with everything you will need, even plug adaptors.
Local bar Spanglish is excellent for both breakfasts and dinner. The staff are lovely and friendly.
If you love Chinese food try the Crazy Duck. About a 5 minute walk away. 3 Courses and a drink for only 6.25 Euros. Filling and hot. We went there twice.
Lots of nice little bars for drinks and a sit down in the heat.
Don't be put off because it says the fair is there. It's more stalls and kids rides. But all easy and laid back and full of families.
The Looky Looky men are funny as they run on the beach when the police come and jump back onto the pavements as soon as they go again. This happens about every half hour.
Passed the details to a few friends for next year and hopefully looking at the 6 of us going back next summer for a couple of weeks.
You won't regret a week or two here
