large 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home comfortably sleeps up to 8-10

Large mountain retreat in the 4-season Masthope community. House includes 3 bedrooms and two baths on upper level. The lower level has a second living area.There is also a separate bedroom and a full bathroom with laundry area. There is a gas fireplace upstairs and wood stove downstairs. A large deck off the upper level affords endless views of the Delaware River Valley. Rental comes with 8 guest passes for amenities such as horseback riding at our private stable (small fee for guests), motor boating and skiing. Guests must register with the community and will receive a discount on lift ticket rates at Ski - Big Bear, the community owned mountain which has 18 trails, 5 lifts, snow making and night skiing. My family have been owners in Masthope since 1992. This house has the best view in the community. Moost guests are return customers. I'll make it easy for you and your group to book the house and explain the procedures. We have the most family friendly community in the Poconos. If you like what you see and have questions give me a call. I try to limit rentals to families but will accept mature groups as well. Ray

Masthope is number one for famlies in the Poconos. With activities all year round there is plenty to do. We have a community owned ski mountain with 5 lifts, tubing and a snow making system that insures skiing throughout the season. Guests receive a discounted rate on lift ticket. In the summer enjoy the motor boating lake and outdoor pools complete with water slides and diving boards. Rowboats and canoes are complimentary for our guests. You'll also be in the middle of some of the best lake and river fishing anywhere.

For those of you who would like to just sit back and enjoy the house...picture yourself at the fireplace overlooking the picturesque Delaware Valley. Downstairs the the wood burning stove will keep you warm while you enjoy the T.V. and games; pool table, air hockey, basketball and shuffleboard.

The house is available for mature adults with families. Identification will be required for booking.

Golf: Woodlock Springs - rated one of the 10 best public access courses in America 5 miles

Cricket Hill Public Course, reasonable and challenging. Use all your clubs

Nice house with a great view. We watched from the deck as deer ate their dinner right in the backyard. Lots to do for the kids in the house and in the community. Beautiful kitchen equipped with everything you need. Only con: getting rid of garbage is difficult. The community compactor has very limited hours (even closed on Tuesday and Thursday, we happened to leave on a Thursday) and the owner said the cleaning service charges for each bag of garbage left behind. We had to drive home with three bags of garbage! A small problem that can be fixed with some better planning. Overall, we had a great time and would go back.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: The community is in charge of trash disposal and hours are determined by their office.

GREAT VACATION HOUSE !!

This was my second stay in this home. this house was nice the first time i stayed their butowner did some improvements, The back deck is huge and the view is the best Ive seen in this community.We went with 7 people and had more than enough room. Their is a tv in almost every room which was great for the kids. I would definately recommend staying here, The owner is very easy to deal with , Thanks again Ray ... Mike( Staten island NY )

This was a great vacation experience. It was my first web rental and I was very nervous but Ray was able to provide references that put my mind at easy right away. When the keys/map package didn't reach me by the saturday we were leaving (due to the holiday) Ray met me by my house to give them to me personnally. The house was large and clean. We were traveling with 8 kids (17 to 2). There was something to keep all ages happy. Even with 10 of us there was never any crowding or fights over bathrooms(3). The kids couldn't get enough of the air hockey or pool table. The lodge was nice with things for all age groups. There was a big pool plus a baby pool as well as a nice little playground. The people were very nice and went out of their way to help me. Being from the city we all got a kick out of the deer wandering all over and even had a family of deer walk through the back yard and come right up to the kids to get some food. The dishwasher/ washer&dryer were lifesavers and the jacuzzi was heavenly. The was a door to the downstairs so the older kids could make noise playing pool or the playstation without disturbing anyone watching tv upstairs and we didn't have to worry about the baby falling down the stairs. We had our security deposit back by Thursday. I would recommend this house to anyone with a big group especially those travling with kids. Thank Ray
