What a delightful property - Hawk's View Chalet is a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath 'chalet style' home on 3 beautifully landscaped acres, with bold creek, mountain views, private hot tub and swimming pool. All in a location with easy access that just can't be beat! 6 miles to Asheville City limits, 12 miles to downtown center, and located just minutes to the the delightful & artsy little walking town of Weaverville. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway - just 4 miles away. Reems Creek Golf Course and Vance Birthplace are just minutes down the road. The Biltmore Estate is conveniently located in Asheville and snow skiing is nearby in lovely Wolf Ridge about 25 miles to the north.

Besides enjoying the wonderful cabin with many added amenities, the private grounds capture the wonderful mountain spirit of Western North Carolina. Enjoy the creek with cute little 'Screen House' that sits over the babbling brook, stroll, picnic, play croquet or badminton around the wonderful grounds & yard.
About Owner/Manager

We are a family of three and are North Carolina natives. Having worked for the North Carolina Outward Bound School (as Rock Climbing and field instructors), and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, both of which are based out of the Western NC Mountains, we know the area well. In 1998 we traveled to Kaliningrad Russia where we adopted their son, John. With a desire to travel less as we focused on family, we bought Oakland Cottage Bed and Breakfast where we now live, and we operate the offices of the Bed and Breakfast and vacation rental offices out of our bed and breakfast home. We love Asheville and the mountains of North Carolina.

This property is gorgeous. The trees and yard and just amazing. The interior is very comfortable, although it could use some updating (wallpaper, carpet, etc). We stayed with our 2 kids, parents and brother/sister in law (8 total) and had plenty of room. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, but a very lovely drive with amazing views of the mountains.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed it. We stay there ourselves whenever it is open - which is not often! Really pretty in Fall and Spring too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawk's View. Even though it is located in a neighborhood, it is very secluded since it sits back off the road with surrounding 3 acres...almost feels like camping. House is rustic. Lots of wildlife...had some visiting wild turkeys. About 20 minutes to downtown Asheville, close to Weaverville and the Blueridge Parkway.

Good customer customer service. Amentities as stated...pool and hot tub were great! Everything we needed for the week was there.

Most folks are visiting Asheville, but if staying at Hawk's Landing, everyone should try Jack of Hearts pub and the Well Bred Bakery, both in downtown Weaverville.
Recommended for:  Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Wonderful family retreat

Our family had a wonderful time at the Cabin Creek Chalet. We were a varied group which included our married daughter and her husband and two toddlers and our other young adult offspring.The staff were extremely helpful in providing cribs and high chairs for our little ones. There was a good collection of toys and games which we barely had time to use because the pool was so inviting I had to prod the family out of the home to take them on our planned activities like apple picking at the farm, hiking on some lovely trails and blueberry picking on the mountains and visiting the Biltmore estate. ( I would definitely recommend planning to spend two days at the Biltmore since that is overwhelming to try to take in on one day and the pass that we purchased from the staff was good for two days but we had not allocated enough time for that). Having internet accessibility at the home made planning activities more easy and gave us greater flexibility.

The property was nicely maintained and spacious and set off from the other homes in the area to give you a sense of privacy yet it was easily accessible to the road. We enjoyed grilling on the deck which provided a nice view of the mountains and the front lawn. We definitely would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family and would enjoy returning to the Cabin Creek Chalet
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
