Provincetown is a well-known resort town and artist colony at the Tip of Cape Cod. The home is a short walk to restaurants, art galleries, shopping, movie theatres, night clubs, and the Bay beach. It is a short ride to miles of bike trails through the dunes, and to the National seashore Ocean beaches. There are numerous theme weeks during the year including Women's week, Family week, Carnival, Holly Folly's, Provincetown Film Festival, Portuguese Festival, etc, etc. High Season begins Memorial Day weekend in May and ends Labor Day weekend in September. There are many beautiful beaches and an active night life. After Labor Day the town has a more relaxed pace but remains busy weekends through the end of the year. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are busy weeks in town.

Great location and fantastic for families

Seattle Visitors Seattle, WA USA
Review Submitted: October 10, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
My husband and I are from the Seattle area and recently rented this house for a family get together. There were 10 of us total, including my 84 year old grandmother. The home décor is eclectic and fun. The main living area is upstairs. The 4 bedrooms and family room are downstairs.

The location is fabulous. It’s on a dead-end street only 2 ½ blocks to the heart of downtown and close to everything you could need. The property owner was away on a mini vacation the week we were there, but a caretaker, Rocky, was available at all times for any problems.

Upstairs:
The “great room” is huge (35’ x 40’ ?? and broken into 4 distinct areas with the primary entrance staircase in the middle.

1. Dining area (with nook off the side for laundry, shower, and half bath)
2. Kitchen
3. TV area with two comfy chairs and foot stool
4. Reading room with couch and 2 chairs

Off the little TV area is the jaccuzi/sunroom. In the sunroom are a set of spiral stairs leading to the family room / wet bar. .

On the far side of the sunroom is a HUGE deck with seating for more than 20 people! It has gorgeous views of the Pilgrim monument. You could have quite the happy hour here in the summer time.

Downstairs:
• 4 bedrooms – each with a TV so family members were able to have some complete downtime.
• Full bath
• Family room (with 6 futons and big screen TV to which my 13 year old nephew was totally addicted).

One thing to note, is that the 4th bedroom (red bedroom) is the downstairs “access way” to the great room. This is not an issue as it can be totally closed off from the great room and the great room can till be accessed from the spiral staircase.. The red room is perfect for the parent with kids (or the adult who is keeping track of all the kids!).

Overall, this is an ideal place for a group. My husband, grandmother, and I had a fantastic meal at the 404 Bistro our final evening. Grandma was on Cloud 9 when my husband hired a pedicab (rickshaw) to take her back to the house the scenic route (via the water, Pilgrim monument, etc. )

Hopefully we can do this again some time.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for such a nice review and for describing my home better than I could myself.

We loved the house for a fall girls weekend! Amazing house with plenty of amenities. The owner was so helpful and responsive to any & all questions we had. Walking distance to town center, great house with plenty of room and an amazing roof deck with hammock and grill. Wonderful house that I would recommend to friends and family -we may even be back again! Thank you!
Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing my home for your vacation.
It was a pleasure having your group. I hope you visit again!

WOW, love this place!

Review Submitted: September 21, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
The house is fabulous and HUGE. We were 5 family members but there is plenty of space and privacy for four couples in the four bedrooms, or a lot more if you want to sleep slumber-party style in the big rec room downstairs. The deck is huge (seating for 21, space for more!) with a great view including the Pilgrim Monument. The living space upstairs is open and includes two seating areas, dining room and kitchen. It's five minutes' walk to a little grocery store, the main street of town, and the harbor. If you walk the five minutes to the main street, you come out near the center of everything -- you're not on the fringes at all. But you're in a quiet pretty neighborhood.

The owner answered calls & emails within minutes. The house is clean & well-maintained; the decor is pleasant and just quirky enough to be interesting. The whale-watching is great and the dune tour is surprisingly cool. Don't miss Race Point beach and, of course, the seafood (every restaurant we went to was good).
Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice comments and great description of my home.

There are alot of fun things to do in Provincetown at the end of the Earth.
The dune tour is one of my favorites and the view from the top of the Pilgrim Monument is amazing.
I also love to walk out the breakwater and view the town from across the Bay.
It is not widely known that Provincetown is the first landing site of the Pilgrims and the Mayflower compact was actually written in Provincetown harbor.
I also enjoy just walking the little side streets and viewing the historic architecture and the beautiful gardens scattered all over town.

Spacious/quiet stay

Review Submitted: September 17, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
Huge house for a great deal! Owner was very accomodating and readily available for any issues that came up. Very impressed to find that security deposit was returned EXTREMELY fast! Was a little disappointed at the "2nd full shower" and jacuzzi as there was virtually no privacy to others in the house. Walking distance to almost everything! Parking lots downtown can be pricey! Noise ordinance in effect at 9pm! I would recommend this property mostly to families or a ladies weekend for relaxation. Definitely not a party street! Loved our stay and would recommend!!!
