This charming cottage with whimsical decor has beautiful lake and mountain views. Lake Wentworth is a quiet 3000 acre lake known for its crystal clear water, sandy bottom and great fishing. The location is private, yet you are only three miles from Wolfeboro, 'The Oldest Summer Resort in America,' and Lake Winnipesaukee. Decorated with antiques and 'shabby chic' style furniture, it was featured in Yankee Magazine's May 2006 magazine. There is an eat-in kitchen, sun room dining area, beamed cathedral ceiling and fireplace in the living room. A large deck with 3 seating areas is close to the water's edge. A private dock and swimming raft are steps from the house. The house has three private bedrooms and sleeps 8. Use the romantic outdoor shower after using the kayaks or bikes! The Perfect Place

We have been renting in the lakes region of New Hampshire for numerous years. This was the first time that we rented a place on Lake Wentworth. The location (eastern shore) was perfect if you love sunsets. The lake house is situated close enough to the lovely offering of Wolfeboro yet distant enough if you prefer enjoying the natural beautiful surroundings and the peace of nature. The house is ideal for a romantic get-away or family fun.

Perfect Getaway!

I am the owner of a vacation rental company on Hilton Head Island and treasure my time away from the office. I was fortunate to spend several days in this lovely cottage during July, 2009. I have managed rental properties for over 22 years and have worked with many types of properties, from budget to luxury.

I found this adorable cottage to be ideally located, very well equipped and wonderfully maintained. My family and I had everything we needed for our vacation, from hammock to rafts to grill and rocking chairs. Almost every room has a view of the lake, which is beautiful night or day. It was perfect.

I have only been to New Hampshire once before, but will definately return and definately to this cottage.

A perfectly lovely spot!

Our family of four (the boys are 15 and 21) had a wonderful week in this home. It was quite spacious, beautifully decorated in a shabby-chic style, clean and fully functioning. The lakeside deck extends the entire length of the house, and we enjoyed the views from the rocking chairs and picnic table. The dock was new and the perfect height to use with our own dingy. There was a great little beach-type entry to walk into the lake for swimming, or to launch a kayak. We couldn't get over how clear the lake water was. The gardens were lovely and there was plenty of parking for both our cars. Inside, the rooms were cozy and comfortable, with tons of great games, books, and magazines for all ages. The kitchen was very well equipped, including a dishwasher and complete cooking pots and utensils. Although the house is in a quiet location, Wolfeboro is only a 15-minute drive away. Our quiet family especially enjoyed the relative calm of Lake Wentworth during a late-summer week. We hated to leave!

Great Family Fun!!!

We just returned from our 4th of July Celebration. It was our first extended vacation with our 3 year old, and he had such a great time he actually believed we had moved to the lake. The house is very comfortable and worked perfectly for our little family. Everything you could ever need is made accessible, and the owner is readily available for any questions or assistance. Definitely a win win location and atmosphere for your next family get away.

Our Family Vacation

As a veteran vacationer at “income properties” I can assure all who read this that this house is truly different – it’s someone’s actual home, and you are at home on the lake from the minute you arrive.
My husband and I spent a wonderful week at this home with our family to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. It was a perfect vacation. The house is on a beautiful quiet lake, we were in the woods, and we truly were “away from it all.” At night, from under the warm comfort of our heavy down comforters, we heard the loons through the open windows. My husband, who has back problems and rarely sleeps well, slept soundly through the night every night.
In the mornings we were up early to enjoy our coffee and watch the mist burn off the lake. During the day we sat on the deck reading our books and looking at the stunning fall foliage which was at its’ peak. At dinnertime, we thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. The furniture is comfortable and the décor is thoroughly charming, and the house is well designed to accommodate a group of vacationers. The house was clean, well maintained and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had. I would most definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to "get away from it all."
This house is so relaxing - you’ll never want to leave.
