Scarborough Beach House Rental Photos and Description

CENTRAL AIR: SLEEPS 3 TO 6.

Want a clean, nicely furnished house with a short walk to the beach? You found it! No beach passes needed or parking lot fees to pay as Scarborough Beach is one block (2/10 of a mile) away. You can see the ocean from the front porch steps and from the east facing bedroom. When surf is strong, at night you can hear the rolling waves from the east bedroom.

The bath & kitchen have been modernized. The living room is furnished with comfortable upholstered furniture & our three spacious BR's have Queen size beds and the cottage charm of original wood planked ceilings.

Lots of recent renovations to flooring, lighting and newly redecorated bedrooms compliment the exterior upgrades (new roof, siding, windows and trex deck) made recently.

WE ARE CLOSE TO THE OCEAN AND THE BEACH!

About Judy & Richard Marusa

High school sweethearts with 3 grandchildren and a life long interest in real estate and traveling, we decided to combine both interests into one! We have a terrific partnership, with Judy providing reservation manager services and Rich as our maintenance department. To better understand what makes a rental property stand out, we have rented other properties while on our own vacations and use that knowledge to improve our guests vacation experience. Please take a moment to read our property reviews and we think you'll agree we are exceeding our goal. We are happy to share our vacation home and please feel free to call or email with any questions.

Why Judy & Richard Marusa chose Scarborough Beach

We started vacationing at Scarborough at the suggestion of a friend when our children were young. Seized the opportunity when we had a chance to purchase this property.

Originally, the entire interior had paneling on every wall, which over the years we updated. Every surface has been changed since the initial purchase, from roof to siding and windows, floors, lighting, bath and kitchen have all been updated. And did I mention we added central air? We enjoy the positive feedback we get from our guests.

What makes this house unique

It is said the 3 most important things in real estate are location, location, location. This house definitely has that with a short walk to the beach.

We could probably sit back and let the location do the work for us, but we wanted more, so an updated interior, nice furnishings and squeaky clean are the next 3 things on our most important real estate must have items.

Check out our reviews and see how many guests took the time to say we're getting it done.

Our Best Summer Vacation at Lucky Break July 2014!

  • 5 of 5

A written review cannot even begin to describe how amazing this property was for our summer vacation this year. We stayed for 1 week July 5 - July 12, 2014 and we had such a positive experience not only during our stay at the house but also with the owner during the booking process. The owners are organized and detail oriented and this made the booking/deposit process so reassuring and stress free. When we arrived at the house we were beyond pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, the updates and the beauty of the house. The best word to describe the house is PRISTINE, inside and out. The house exudes a summery/beachy feel in every room and the house is updated with amenities such as a newer bathroom, central air, flat screen TV's, outdoor shower, trex deck and all the necessary appliances. When you step out the front door your can see the beach down the street and on many nights you can even hear the waves from the house when the windows are open. The walk to the beach really is as close as described and is do-able for children and older adults. My family has been vacationing every summer together for almost 20 years and we all agree that this house is the "Ritz Carlton" of summer rentals. We will never entertain the idea of vacationing anywhere else in the summer, thanks to the owners and their beautiful property. We love "Lucky Break"!

Owner's Response: WOW! Being compared to the Ritz Carlton is humbling, we appreciate the kind words. Making a vacation week memorable is why we go the "extra mile" in cleanliness and decor. Hope to hear from this gracious family again. Thank you.

We loved this home.

Bright and cheerful, clean and nicely furnished. Very short walk to the nicest beach in RI and close to very good dinning. I suggest Crazy Burger, Bike Shop, and of course Aunt Carries ( some featured on Diner, Drive ins and Dives). Bring your bikes or take a jog the area is flat and scenic, for either activity. The owner provides a lot of items that other rentals might lack, such as laundry machines and detergent, foil, baggies, and starter kit of paper towels and toilet paper. The even remembered to supply a beach cart. The deck, patio table and gas grill make it easy to have dinner outside and enjoy the fresh ocean air. We have been to a lot of rentals, but this is the only one for us.

Perfect beach home on the Rhode Island Shore

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for a relaxing spot to vacation with my family, including our 3 month old baby and 3 year old son, and Lucky Break truly delivered. The house is beautifully maintained, and was very clean and neat when we arrived. It has all the features we need--enough room for both kids, a well-appointed kitchen (although the knives were a bit on the dull side), very comfortable beds, a washer/dryer for the insane amounts of laundry that children create, a grill, and a wonderful deck with a table for outdoor family meals. Our son was obsessed with the outdoor shower! It is a very easy walk to the beach (about a block and a half) and they even provide a trolley to make transport of toys, towels, chairs, umbrellas, etc. simple. The location could not be better--it's an easy drive to stores and restaurants (we loved Iggy's Po Boys and Chowder House) and also is well positioned to make visiting the other towns and sites in the area a breeze (don't miss the Beavertail lighthouse or the Point Judith lighthouse).

The owner was wonderfully communicative--she checked in on us during the stay to make sure everything was OK, and even though we didn't expect it, provided us with a crib for our little one.

Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and Lucky Break was a wonderful introduction to the Rhode Island Shore. We will be back!!

Owner's Response: We are so happy that your first experience vacationing in Narragansett was a positive one. Thank you for letting us know the kitchen knives need a sharpening, we will address that. We would love to have your family back at Lucky Break and try Crazy Burger on your next visit.

Perfect house in a great location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a weekend while attending a friend's wedding and Judy was so accommodating right from the start. Judy was responsive to all of my questions and the house really made the weekend special. The house is clean, nicely decorated, and very close to the beach. Judy was good about providing information about our stay so we were well prepared. I would definetly recommend this house to others. Thank for making our stay spectacular, Judy!

Our Lucky Break

  • 5 of 5

A year ago my family and I planned a vacation to Narraganset and reserved this week at Lucky Break. I must say that this house was everything it was described to be. We walked in and immediately felt at home. The rooms were spotless and spacious. The beds were very comfortable as was the furniture in the living room. Every room has a flat screen TV so everyone could watch their favorite shows but the best was the short two block walk to the beach. The beach is a family place and safe environment for children. My two year old grandson had hours of fun digging in the sand and running in the surf. A short walk from the beach is a cliff walk that runs along the water where a wide assortment of marine life becomes trapped in between the rocks. Great place to meditate and do yoga early in the morning. It is also conveniently located to a wide assortment of restaurants and a short ride to Newport and Providence for those who want more than the beach. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a great beach vacation.

Perfect for the beach!

  • 5 of 5

Comfortably slept 3 couples. The house is beautifully furnished and extremely clean and well taken care of. You can see the beach from the front of the house and there is access to the beach via a path at the end of the street. A short drive to the local Stop & Shop covers any supplies you may need. All the kitchen basics are available and in great working order, including a washer and a dryer. The deck gets the evening sunshine. Local restaurants are well worth sampling - especially Coast Guard House and Crazy Burger in Narragansett Pier. The landlords were very responsive and helpful. This is a little gem that you should not miss at Scarborough Beach.

Narragansett has several great beaches to explore. Scarborough (which is the closest to the house at 2/10 mile) offers body surfing and boogie-board riding on it's rolling surf. This is a state beach. It has concession stands & bath house with toilets.

Roger Wheeler Beach (also known as Sand Hill Cove) is two miles away, has gentler waves for the timid and a playground for the toddlers. Narragansett Town Beach is approx. one mile away.

The relatively flat area is great for bike riding, walking or jogging.

Deep sea fishing charters, the Block Island Ferry and fish markets are a 5 minute car ride away in the fishing port called Galilee. Explore Newport and tour the mansions or walk the cobblestone wharfs, approx 20 minute drive away.

Shopping and restaurants galore! Nearby the house are many family and upscale restaurants, as well as supermarkets, ice cream parlors, movie theatres and a bowling alley. Adventureland offers batting cages, go-carts and minigolf to keep the kids happy.
