'KrausKottage' is a fully furnished beach cottage with three bedrooms and bunkhouse, kitchen, bath and additional outside shower. Dog are allowed. Located on a dead-end street, this cottage is ideal for families with young children. The bunk house is great for a second family or teenagers. We've included high speed Internet, a private outdoor shower, pack and play, high chair, and baby monitor. Parking for three to four cars. The house is a three minute walk from the beach. Large deck on front of house. Linens, lawn chairs, all kitchen accessories included. Located on 59th street at the quiet end of Plum Island. Plum Island is separated from the charming town of Newburyport by a bridge over the Parker River. The beach near the house is protected by dunes and has small waves - great for kids. There is great fishing - both surf casting on the ocean and fly fishing on the basin. The island has some shops and restaurants and Newburyport is just a 10 minute drive.

Nearest Train: Newburyport at 5 Miles
Nearest Motorway: 495/95 at 8 Miles
Car: necessary
National Wildlife Reserve is at other end of island with breathtaking beaches, bike riding, and birdwatching. The town of Newburyport is only a 10 minute drive, and is filled with quaint shops and great restaurants - from family to upscale dining. Boutique shops as well as antique shops. Outlets in Kittery are 45 minute drive. Buses to Boston available in Newburyport. This island is a great location for families wanting to travel to a pleasant beach area, without all the tourists.

  • Rental rates do not include a $100 cleaning fee
  • We require a 50% deposit to hold your rental reservation. Full payment of the rental fee balance, $300 damage deposit AND cleaning fee is required 60 days before rental commences.

    Cancellations more than 60 days prior to rental period receive a full refund. If a cancellation is received closer than 60 days to the rental period, a full refund is given if a replacement rental is found.
