Orr's Island, Maine is a peninsula connected by bridges to Harpswell and Brunswick- just 15 minutes from Brunswick, home of Bowdoin College. The interior and exterior blend one into the other through sliding glass doors across the width of the home-opening onto multi-decking and stairs to the private waterfront, complete with floating walkways and dock- ideal for fishing, boating, kayaking and sunbathing. This open concept floor plan provides a natural flow from the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and livingroom. The large fireplace, hardwood floors, wood ceilings, create a warm, charming, romantic, perfect vacation retreat. Orr's Islandis a place of many bays, coves, and tidal marshes, is a colorful, simple, and peaceful retreat. Orr's Island is for those who love to go fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, sight seeing, shopping and for anyone looking for a special and romantic place to relax to the sounds of the ocean and seabirds. There are many seafood restaurants in this area. Just 12 miles from Brunswick, home of Bowdoin College. Convenient to L.L. Bean, shopping in Freeport and Portland-Maine's largest city. This house was wonderful. The sun sets over the water every night. It is such a lovely and peaceful location. The house itself is in really good condition. I can't wait to come back.

This house is just perfect. It is fully equiped, the owners did not overlook one single thing. Three bedrooms with beds enough for 8 people. Two full bathrooms, one on each floor.

We had plenty of room for all of us. Great deck to take in the beautiful sunsets over the bay. Very private and secluded. Loved the area. . .

We explored all the surrounding islands and bought lobsters, scallops & mussels from the locals, which was the best I have ever had.

We all had a wonderful time and would definately suggest renting this beautiful home!!

BEAUTIFUL MAINE WATERFRONT-RELAXATION AT ITS BEST!

We have vacationed at this wonderful cottage three years in a row and have just been delighted. This property is clean and well maintained. The owner provides everything one would need and lots of info about the area. First floor master is delightful with sliders onto the deck that runs the length of the house. Coffee on the deck-what a way to start your day--enjoy reading a good book--or just relaxing watching the lobster boats entering and leaving Harpswell Sound. Lots to do in the area for daytrips. Great location for kayaking or fishing.
Fantastic sunsets and great dining in the area or just barbecue on the deck! It is harder to leave this wonderful place each year and has become a permanent part of our vacation plans. We have recommended this cottage to many of our friends and acquaintances.
Try it-- we don't think you will be disappointed!
