MtnSea Properties invites you to enjoy the beauty of Mount Desert Island, Maine in the comfort of one of our homes. From an historic oceanfront estate, to a lodge style home in the woods, or a romantic getaway cottage, we offer the finest in quality homes for you to base your adventures in Acadia National Park.
MtnSea Properties offers a number of additional services to our tenants. We know from our own experience managing family vacations that it can be quite a job. A little local knowledge and some extra help can make your vacation more enjoyable and hassle free. Our personalized vacation services include Chamber of Commerce welcome packets, local recommendations for kids, and assistance with other interests you might have. We also offer catering and cooked meals, grocery shopping, massage therapy, and house keeping right in your own rental home
Rental Process:
Step 1: The phone call: Give us a call regarding the house you are interested in. We will check availability, answer any questions you might have, make sure the house is a good fit for your needs. To hold the reservation, we will need a credit card number.: Step 2: The lease: We will send you a lease and tenant information form. You will return these with a security deposit, and first rental deposit. Once received, we will send you a reservation letter and copy of your signed lease. Step 3: Final confirmation: Thirty days before your arrival, your second rental deposit is due. Once received, we will send you a final confirmation letter including a map with directions to the house and key location. Step 4: Security deposit returned: Within two weeks following the end of your rental, we will send you your security deposit (minus any charges for damage, outstanding bills, excessive cleaning) and a quality survey form.

MtnSea Properties recognizes the unique value in spending quality time with loved ones surrounded by beauty. Each year, we donate a portion of our proceeds to local organizations that are committed to sustaining the beauty and well being of the Mount Desert Island area.
Cancellation:
Should the Lessee be unable to occupy the premises for any reason, except the fault of the Lessor, the Lessor will keep all payments and the Lessee will be liable for the remainder of the rent due. If the Lessor is able to rent the premises for the same period of time covered by the lease to another tenant, Lessee with be refunded payments less a 15% of rental cost booking fee.

1/10 mile from Long Pond, the largest lake on the island, where there is a picnic area, swimming beach and boat rental
