Guestbook comments from the manager
August 17, 2003 - This became our home away from home - very cozy & welcoming. Loved the back patio & easy walking distance to just about everywhere. Missoula is a great place. The owners are as accomodating as their guest house! Best of luck in your new venture. We'll be back!

Wonderful shabby chic home with character

  • 5 of 5
What a wonderful place to get together for my daughters graduation from PT school. The photos were accurate and still had me wondering if we could fit 2 sets of grandparents in and make everyone comfortable. Yes! Enough room in the back yard for a small get together with friends and family and enough bathrooms. We rented the entire place and it was so perfect for 3 couples, 1 grandma and a daughter. The owner answered my questions when I called about a big enough crockpot for a crowd and kitchen was well stocked for our needs. I brought the big crockpot. Made our weekend much more doable with the location. Room to feed everyone when they were hungry and not having to go finding restaurants with 9 of us was an added bonus. Parking was great. Might be a good idea to remember parking on the street with out a permit will warrant you a ticket, so use the off street parking they provide. I am already recommending this place to my friends and will use it in the future.

Basement unit, better than expected

  • 4 of 5
We hesitated over renting the downstairs apt here, as online pics and emails to managers still left a lot of questions in our minds. Turned out very nice! The basement apt has good light for being below, and though it's furnished with mismatched second-hand furnishings, all are very clean and well kept (would have preferred fewer fake flowers...). Kitchen is small but well equipped, and, again, very clean. Bathroom was bigger than expected with lots of counter space, and both bedrooms have ample closets. Nice to have washer/dryer to use, too. Though we could hear our upstairs neighbors overhead (esp middle of night trips to bathroom or morning rising) they were considerate and quiet, so we felt lucky not have a bunch of night owls or partiers over our heads. The whole house would be an excellent choice for a larger group. Kudos to the cleaners, who keep it all very nice. Without AC stayed very cool in summer. The street is a busy one, and you hear morning traffic but the location is super convenient.

Fantastic Family Rental

  • 5 of 5
We arrived at the guest house after traveling for 10 days and approx. 2000 miles. We had camped and stayed at an Inn around Glacier National Park. We had six adults and two children in our party. We rented the whole house and were ready to settle in for over a week. My only hesitation about leaving a review is that it may prompt the owners of the property to raise their rates or rent it so often that it would not be available for our next visit.
The House could not have been any better. It is very spacious. Much more roomy than it shows in the pictures. There is a very nice seating area behind and in front of the house. The views over the Clark Fork and into the Rattlesnake wilderness are good. The owners of the house have provided everything that one would need to have an enjoyable stay. Games, Books, wifi, dvd,and almost every cooking utensil imaginable are all at your disposal.
The house is also very close to the Univesity of Montana and downtown Missoula. There is a very short walking distance to the U and about a 10-15 minute walk downtown which is accessible by two bridges over the river.
The only concern/complaint we had was the road in front (5th street) is pretty busy by Missoula standards. This just along goes with the fantastic location.
We would like to thank to owners for keeping such a great place to say for a group of relocated Missoulians to enjoy when we can make it back out.
I have no reservations about recommending this house to anyone wanting great accomodations close to the University and downtown Missoula. Thanks again.

I hate to let the secret out, but. . . the Guest House was a fabulous!

  • 5 of 5
We rented the upstairs of the Guest House over Thanksgiving week. The owner's description of the property was right on. From the cleanliness to the comfy beds and furniture to the view, the house was a wonderful place to spend a week. Since we were making the sides and ham for our family's dinner, the full kitchen with every cooking utensil and pan came in very handy. If you wonder if you can hear the downstairs guests, you can just a little. Not a concern at all. Thank you to the property managers for a great place to stay. We will definitely stay here again!
