2 BLOCKS TO TOWN SINGLE FAMILY HOME

We had a great time in Bethany. The house is easily accessible to Garfield Pky (the main street leading to the boardwalk), one block south and one block west. We easily walked downtown with our two children (8 and 12). All of Bethany is accessible from this house with a good walk, skate board, bicycle, scooter or other mode of transportation. If you don't have too much beach gear, you could walk to the beach.

Collins is a "cut through" street, so kids can't play unsupervised in front as there is a quite a bit of foot/bicycle/car traffic, but it's not really dangerous, just casually busy. There's plenty of room in back to play badminton, swing, or do other outdoor activities.

The parking passes were invaluable. Didn't matter what time we got to the beach, the parking pass allowed for a spot within the first block off the beach.

Ceiling fans in every room allowed the two AC units to function effectively. The house is very comfortable for a large family (might get a bit tight if you try to fit two families of four in). Master has a queen, other bedroom has two twins that can be combined to make a king, and the third has two sets of bunk beds to sleep four (there is also a roll-away in the closet of the master). Two bathrooms (one in master) are good sized. It is a no pets/no smoking property. We liked both policies (we have two dogs, left them with a friend).

Outside shower was useful, and the full sized washer and dryer were very helpful. The house had everything we needed to make our week a great vacation. The screened back porch has a ceiling fan that makes it comfortable even on warm evenings. The house is on "stilts" as shown in the picture so you are climbing a flight of stairs to access the main doors.

We have rented multiple times in the outer banks,and although the houses there were newer, this house was very functional, and we felt like we got a very good value for our vacation dollar from this property.

The owner was easy to work with and responsive to e-mail contact. We did not need to contact him by phone, but his numbers were provided if we needed them.

We would have no problem recommending this house and will likely rent it again if we have the opportunity.
