Step back in time to the 1890's in this beautifully restored 2 story house with wrap-around porch. Walk to nearby Shawnee Park and Lake for swimming, fishing or boating. First floor has a large eat-in kitchen with all new appliances, living room, den and new bathroom with washer and dryer. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom. Master bedroom has antique chestnut bedroom set, 2nd bedroom is furnished with Craftsman/Mission Style furniture. Third bedroom has an oversized twin bed that is original to the house. The house will comfortably sleep 7. Hi-speed internet with PC provided.

Nearest Motorway: Bedford exit PA turnpike at 5 Miles
Located in south central PA with easy access to the PA turnpike and Route 30, the house is 2 hours east of Pittsburgh, 2 1/2 hours NW of Washington, D.C., and 4 hours west of Philadelphia. It is a short walk to a 3800 acre Shawnee Park with lake that offers swimming, boating, fishing, biking. The town of Schellsburg has antique shops, a crafts shop, a candle shop, a potter, a winery and a Bison farm. Designated as a National Historic District, over 85% of the homes were built before 1900. A free brochure for a self-guided walking tour is available.

recently, my family and i enjoyed a comfortable stay in this lovely home. our host was very gracious and attended to our every need. the home has country charm and yet it is near many sites, shops and towns to explore.
we would recommend this home to all ages.
