Ny husband and I (and our families) have a vacationing history of over 40+ years in South Haven. We love the beautiful beaches, the marina and small town feel of South Haven. We chose to purchase 2 vacation homes (see vrbo listings #121192 and #119150)as a way to continue to enjoy this area for years to come with our three children and our extended families, as well as, to own a business which would enable one of us to be at home with our children during their formative years.
South Beach area of South Haven has just so many ammenities-- close to beach, easy parking, marina, small town, restaurants and shops all nearby. Michigan also offers so much year-round too and we wanted to take advantage of it!
Our house is spacious enough for large crowds to be together for meals, relaxing and play. Yet it also affords quiet areas for reading, napping or conversations. Enclosed front porch and back porches are great for breakfast or early evening dining or sitting. The kids think it adventursome to sleep on the porch too! We love the side yard-- great for whiffle ball, tag, soccer, etc. and of course, s'mores around the fire!!! The school playground across the street is fun for basketball, 4 square, tether ball and even some tennis.
