Overview

Killington House Rental Photos and Description

5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, sleeps 13

Close to Killington (12 miles from Access RD) but just far enough to experience the traditional Vermont countryside. This home is ideal for those who want to be near skiing but have their privacy. You also have the option to ski Sugarbush which is 25 miles away. In the summer, take a short walk down the private road to the White River. Enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking, hiking, biking, or golf. The house has wireless high speed internet and is in a private community which has a recreation area between the White and Tweed River with 2 tennis courts.

Located off Scenic 100 near the Green Mountain National Forest, this home is in a wooded secluded setting. Close to the VAST trails for snowmobiling, this home has hardwood floors throughout with a cathedral ceiling and a natural field stone fire place in the living room. After a day of skiing or hiking, relax in the outdoor 7 person hot tub. In the summer, sit outside on the patio, make a camp fire in the fire pit and roast marshmallows.

Whether it's the winter or summer, there are plenty of activities to keep you occupied. Or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Vermont Mountains.

Excellent Ski Chalet

  • 5 of 5

The house is in a perfect location within the woods, plenty of privacy and real holiday charm. There is ample space for 13 people, the living room especially is perfect for late night tea around the fireplace with friends. Killington slopes are about 20min away, but the scenic drive goes very fast. I would recommend the well equipped house with an incredible hot tub outside to everyone! Thanks again Dan for a wonderful stay!

Comfortable house for a large group

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 7 adults and one toddler was very happy in this house. We used the fireplace and hot tub nearly every day after skiing. One feature that doesn't seem to be mentioned in the description was a nice surprise: the "master" bedroom (the one with a deck in the pictures) has a vanity with a sink and medicine cabinet behind bi-fold doors. Very convenient, and no need to tie up a bathroom when shaving, etc. We had a great week there, and the owners were very easy to deal with. Security deposit was returned within a week of our return. My only criticism would be that you need to be careful on the hardwood stairs, they can be slippery with some footwear. I recommend this house for a ski week.

Awesime place for an awesime ski weenkend!

  • 5 of 5

We had a really great time at this house. Mr. Hall was very helpful with all our questions about directions, accomodations and things to do around as it was our first time in the Killington area. The price was really good compared to all the others houses we have been looking at before we made our choice. The house was like shown on the pictures. We had plenty of room for our group of 12 people and a baby. The kitchen had most of the things we needed to cook (except a few things that we thought it would be there, like foil or good knives). The hall downstairs was a bit cold when we woke up the morning, but with the electrical heat and the fireplace, we had enough to make it warmer quickly. Our main suggestion would be to provide extra chairs and a folding table to extend the table that is already there. It would allow a big group like ours to sit comfortably for a good dinner:)

Thank you again, and you can be sure that we would recommend this place to a friend!

Great house. spotty wifi

  • 4 of 5

Dan and Anna's house was great. The house is exactly how it looks in the photos. Photos are missing a shot of one more bedroom that has a queen and a twin in it. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed and the hot tub was great to hang out in. The wii and movies were a great addition with as well. My one complaint was that the wifi was pretty spotty most of the weekend. I would say the wifi was working for about 40% of the weekend. But overall the house was great. i would stay again!

Owner's Response: After I was notified of the issue, I contacted our internet service provider to trouble shoot the issue. It appeared the wireless router needed a software update which was done. Wireless internet is now working.

Perfect spot for a ski weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 13 people had a perfect weekend in the chalet! The chalet has a great layout, and our large group felt very comfortable (not crowded). The chalet is well equipped with all of the kitchen gadgets you could ask for, and the location is fantastic. We spent one day skiing at Killington and another day at Sugarbush. The owner was very professional and provided excellent service.
