This bright and sunny water's edge cottage has been totally restored. It is located within one scenic mile of downtown Boothbay Harbor. Decorated in the 'Shabby Chic' style, it has three lovely bedrooms with water views from every window.
You can sit on the deck and watch Bald Eagles and Osprey dive for fish, or walk down to the water's edge and go for a swim off the dock. Kayak out to the the island, or paddle in the canoe at sunset. Play croquet or badminton in the spacious yard. Then again you can just sit in the Adirondack chairs and read a good book or do nothing at all.
This property is located on an ocean inlet that was dammed by the town in 1875, and is fed by fresh water streams. It's the best of both worlds. It looks like you are on the ocean, but you have a crystal clear freshwater lake in which to swim.
We live outside Boston and are a 3 hour drive to th cottage. If life didn't get in the way with work etc…. we would be up there every weekend. We hate to leave but it makes us happy to know that friends and tenants enjoy our little piece of heaven as much as we do,
We drove up to Boothbay Harbor and road by the place the day before it went on the market. We were in the right place at the right time. We knew we had found the perfcet spot sight unseen. We were blessed and have been ever since.
The way life should be :)….
