Recently renovated 1940's lake front cottage on 500 acre Lake Fairview just northeast of the City of Orlando. This unique location is midway between downtown Winter Park and College Park. Just minutes from Interstate 4 and downtown City of Orlando. Very close to both Disney and Universal's theme parks. Just 45 miles from Daytona, and 90 miles to Tampa. There is an unbelievable selection of shopping stores, specialty shops, movies theaters, and a restaurant for every occasion. Recreational alternatives are available from the cities of Altamonte Springs, College Park, Winter Park, or the City of Orlando. The historic Dubsdread Golf Course of Orlando is only 5 minutes away which features an 'after dark range facility'. We are central to three different hospital medical facilities. Pontoon boat rentals are available through Lake Farview Marina on the other side of the lake. Lake Fairview offers up a great sunrise in the morning, and a spectacular sunset at days end. Just add coffee in the morning, cocktails in the evening, and you've got one of Florida's very best recipes to enjoy. Come visit us sometime. Greg & Peggy...

Perfectly Charming in Every Detail

My son and I recently spent 10 days in Greg and Peggy's wonderful lakefront cottage. It surpassed any rental home I've ever booked in charm, attention to detail, amenities, cleanliness, comfort and location. Greg and Peggy made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. I was amazed at the incredible furnishings, decor and kitchenware. There was nothing I could have wanted. The cottage is located in such a quiet place, you can't help but feel relaxed. The view of the lake from the huge back porch is spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the water birds, daily rowers and other lake activities. Additionally, the cottage is located within minutes of downtown Orlando and all that it has to offer. I can't wait to return for another stay!

Great Getaway

The cottage was a perfect place for the family to stay while attending my son's graduation at nearby Rollins College. It was clean, beautifully decorated and completely comfortable for 5 adults. We will miss the large screened porch where we sat and shared wine and stories. The owners provided everything for a comfortable stay, including high quality bedding, a fully equipped kitchen and large outdoor grill. Don't miss 4Rivers Smokehouse if you like barbeque! Thanks Peggy & Greg for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for a week in November. Lovely setting,
carefully maintained cottage. There were many
extra things provided by the owner, like coffee in
the kitchen, that made our stay enjoyable. The
entire building was recently renovated and the
owner has added many amenities.

The location would seem to be on a very busy road,
but it isn't. There is total privacy and quiet. The
owners provided a kayak which allowed us to
explore the lake. And the screened-in large room
at the back provided an airy place from which to
enjoy spectacular sunsets.

We have family in the area and look forward to
returning and staying here again.

We came from Texas to Orlando in June to look for a house to buy. We needed a place to stay, found this cottage on VRBO, and immediately made an appointment to see it. The cottage is a quaint, beautifully decorated bungalow with a screened-in porch that looks out over the 500-acre lake Fairview - one of the larger lakes in Orlando. We agreed on the spot to a 3-month lease and are enjoying it immensely.This fully furnished cottage has everything needed for a short or long-term stay, from a coffee pot to quality linens. We were able to move in and immediately feel right at home. We particularly enjoy sitting and dining on the screened in porch which looks out over the dock and wonderful Lake Fairview - which is used by the rowing team of a local high school. The location is great - right off Edgewater Drive which has lots of nice restaurants and shops and a 15-minute drive to Park Avenue in Winter Park. It is also a few miles from I-4 which has made it easy for us to explore the real estate market in Orlando.The owners, Peggy and Greg, have been so helpful to us as we have settled in. They went beyond the call of duty helping us stage a brunch here after our daugher’s wedding in June.We highly recommend a stay here and will leave reluctantly when summer is over. The Jacksons
