Mt. Dennison House is your wooded country retreat on 15 acres (the house is off the road in the woods) only two miles from the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Explore the Big Trees, waterfalls, and idyllic mountain lakes, go horseback riding, fishing and swim in natural granite water slides away from the tourist crowds. Surrounded on three sides by oak woodland, the house has a spectacular view to the north of Dennison Peak and snow-covered Sierra. A private wildlife pond is a short walk from the house and there are 15 acres of woodland and creeks for rambling with your dogs and kids. The 2900 sq ft house is recently redecorated and tastefully furnished with rustic country antiques and cowboy art. The house has 3 queen bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and one bedroom with two twins--all have comfortable pillowtop mattresses down comforters and high thread count sheets.

Dennison House is only a few miles drive from the Giant Sequoia Groves in Giant Sequoia National Monument and other points of interest such as Hidden Falls, Galena Falls, Hedrick's Pond and The Trail of a Hundred Giants. Apple Festival craft and food fair is in mid October! Our mountain region is a mecca for rock climbers, hikers, back country horseman, hang gliders and cross-country skiers. There are many opportunities for fishing on Success Lake, the roaring Tule River and beautiful mountain lakes. Water sport enthusiasts will enjoy local Lake Success for jet skiing, boating and water skiing. Our area also has Eagle Mountain Casino for gaming, and River Island Country Club for golfing. Motorcycle and bicycle tours will enjoy beautiful scenery and twisty quiet roads. Shoppers will enjoy gift shopping in Springville and antiquing and art hunting in nearby Historic Downtown Exeter and Visalia.

Wildflower Season is March - May!: See the Giant Sequoias! Dennison House is a 30 minute drive from the Lady Alice and Adam Trees in Balch Park, 1 hour drive from the Trail of a Hundred Giants on the Western Divide Highway, and 1 1/2 hour drive from the General Sherman Tree in Sequoia National Park. Bring your horses or rent from local pack stations for great back country riding. Visit California Hot Springs after a day of Cross-Country skiing.

Take the scenic drive up Yokohl Valley road to the nearby town of Exeter and enjoy antiquing in their historic downtown. We are nearby the quaint untouched village of Springville with lovely gift shops and diverse eateries from downhome to upscale. Go for a tour of Tulare county's many murals in our historic old west towns or tour the orchards in blossom in April and May. Naturalists and bird watchers have wildlife viewing galore in our untouched part of the Sierra. Ask about massage and wellness spa services just down the road.

Our large family group spent Thanksgiving week at Dennison House. From start to finish, my experience with the owners was excellent. E-mail was prompt, professional, and included lots of helpful information. Payment information was clear and refund of our deposit was immediate. The house is in great shape. The kitchen was especially nice with an open layout, a big refrigerator, and lots of counter space for holiday cooking. The decor is pleasing and not kitschy and the extra amenities (like DVDs, games, and puzzles) were thoughtful. We had a great time and recommend this rental.
