The home was built & furnished in December 2004 with approximately 2000 square feet. Enjoy the views from 3 separate decks. The rooftop deck is approximately 500 square feet for entertaining or simply relaxing in the sun. Sleep under the stars with the portable bed and down comforter! 'Toys, toys, toys' for both inside & outside include 4 bikes, 4 boogie boards, surfboard, sand toys, beach chairs & towels, games, gas BBQ. Inside is a computer with high speed internet connection, DVD players in all bedrooms & family room. Linens are new high quality - beds are pillow top mattresses, even the pillows are down & feather. Enter the ground floor to one bedroom & bath - this bedrpp, has a Queen Bed.

Privacy even for more one family!!: Upstairs to the next level is the huge family room, fireplace, kitchen & deck. Views of bay from this level. Kitchen has granite counter tops & stainless appliances. Family room has 2 sofa beds from Lazy Boy - one queen & one double. These sofa beds are unique in that they have a 'blow up' air mattress which makes it feel like home. The third level has master suite with fireplace & private deck. Pillow top king-size bed for comfort. The next bedroom & bath has queen & twin beds. Rooftop deck! Approximately 500 square feet for entertaining or just relaxing. Views are incredible. Sleep under the stars with portable bed & down comforter. Two car garage - This is a full, direct access 2 car garage!

This home is located in the heart of Mission Beach but the immediate area is quiet. The bayside of Mission Blvd is generally quieter at night & this home in particular is surrounded around by nice, quiet neighbors. The home has 2 fireplaces - one in the master. Most rooms have peaceful views of the bay & ocean from a few rooms. The master retreat is on the top level, therefore, has the best views. The deck outside the master is great to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine.

Nice Vacation Home

Great location for a San Diego get away! Easy walking distance to both Mission Beach and Mission Bay, the home is well equipped for vacationing families (we had 2). From towels, to shampoo, to beach chairs & boogie boards, it made packing for this trip super easy. Beach cruisers (4 of them) were also provided for our use -- fabulous for our teenagers as they could take off at a moments notice.

The home was contemporary in style, in newer condition & very comfortable for our use. The great room was really spacious and had plenty of space for our party of eight. Each bedroom had its own TV (which was also great) & there was a computer with internet access available for use as well. The land-line telephone was also available for unlimited local calls (which again, was convenient). The home was clean and the owner was very responsive to my communications prior to our arrival.

While we had been forewarned to keep the garage door closed, we did have a laptop stolen from the house when we had left the front door unlocked (this is not uncommon in a beach community) -- lesson learned for us to lock the doors! Other than that... no incidents or issues.

We did the whole San Diego thing... Sea World, Zoo, Scrips Aquarium, Snorkeling (amazing at La Jolla Cove), Belmont Park (a pier carnival with rides --- Thursday nights, they have $10 off wristband prices!), and even a tour of U.C.S.D for our daughters (sophomore & junior in high school). The location of the house made it easy to access everything. Our two dogs enjoyed their daily walks on the beach &/or bay too (before 9 a.m. & after 6 p.m.).

Overall, it was a great family vacation.

Vacation Rental In Mission Beach, San Diego

We came out to San Diego for a Thanksgiving family reunion. This house is awesome! It was definitely more than we expected; it was clean, just about everything was within walking distance, and the neighborhood was quiet. It was nice to wake up, have a cup of coffee, and enjoy the beautiful view of the bay from the rooftop patio. The home was so lovely that we had to show it off to other family members and we also shared the "HomeAway" website with them. We enjoyed the amusement park and the San Diego Zoo, and wished we had time for Sea World. This was our first time with a vacation rental and it definitely will not be the last--we hated to leave.

Great Property!

We rented this home for a vacation along with my brother's family. We had 4 adults and 7 small children. There was plenty of room for everyone with lots of bathrooms. The kids loved the open rooftop and we enjoyed the view as well. The house was well stocked with amenities, from linen, to kitchen supplies, to soap and cleaning supplies. The bay is literally 100 feet away and the ocean only a few blocks. Lots of restaurants closeby and easy access to downtown, Coronado, SeaWorld, etc. House was clean and well maintained. Parking is very limited around the house, you must park in the garage. We were able to fit two minivans in it, but it is tight. Would definitely recommend this property and if we vacation in San Diego again we'd probably stay here.

Great for FAMILIES with kids!

Family Vacation Across The Country! Boston/New York/Utah

We just got back from our San Diego vacation last week and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our situation. My husband and I had a wedding to attend (we're from MA) and we have a 5 month old baby boy. My parents decided to join us on the trip to watch the baby! And my brother, sister-in-law and 2 nephews (5 & 7 yrs. old) who live in Utah flew in for a few days as well. So - a varied group of people. This house was perfect for us though. It was big - so everyone could have there own space if necessary. The living room - which was where we spent most of our indoors time was plenty of space for us all to hang out. And with 2 young boys and a baby - it's nice to have a large area for them to run around!

We all enjoyed the upstairs deck - whether it was to just relax or eat dinner or watch the sun come up! Yes, the baby woke up at 5 am the first day! We all got great use out of the bikes. On several occasions, someone took a ride to Ralph's to pick up stuff - so that was very convenient.

We spent equal time at the ocean and the bay. The bay was nice because it was right outside the door practically, and it was quiet and you didn't have to worry about losing the kids! The ocean was just a couple blocks over and more fun to play in the waves and people-watch! You have the best of both worlds!

I can't say enough about this place - and Joanne was very helpful when we needed something - which was nice. If you're traveling to San Diego with a larger group and/or kids, this is a great choice. We spent plenty of time (like I said) at the bay and ocean, spent time in the city, went to Sea World and Belmont Park, drove to Torrey Pines and enjoyed a great dinner in La Jolla. I'd say we got the most out of our vacation. The computer was also a very nice amenity. Not only did it allow (some of us) to get some work done - it was easy to look up places to go and get directions and anything else the internet could do for us!

Alright - enough of my babbling! Highly recommended!

Great vacation home!

The property was exactly as described, plus some! You had your choice of the bay which was only one house away or walk to the beach on the other direction. It was even walking distance to Belmont Park with it's roller coaster and shops!! The additional amenities of bicycles, boogie boards, surf board, toy's, and even a cooler made the stay more enjoyable. The roof top deck was amazing -- we were able to watch the fireworks at SeaWorld every night! The home was a short drive to Old Town, Downtown, Airport...etc. Joanne provided great customer service and showed urgency in answering all of our questions. I would HIGHLY recommend this to all....especially if you have a large family.
