Casablanca is a luxurious 2 story beach home with all the comforts that you could wish for in Fort Lauderdale and is less than 100 steps to the beach. The home is graced with large 2 story open ceilings with lots of light, wood floors; crown moldings and formal staircase remind you of the days of elegance and grace. This home has a private heated pool with in ground jacuzzi spa. Plenty of comfortable furnishings make the pool area a great place to spend a private afternoon. Ascend the winding, formal staircase to the second level with ocean views from the second floor balcony and plenty of seating to watch the sunset. The second floor is a master suite with 2 balconies, one with a pool view and the other with an ocean view. A den area is perfect for office or small child's bedroom offering a queen size sofa bed. The main floor living area has a large formal dining room for entertaining and opens out on the pool.

Outdoor activities: daily snorkel and scuba dive trips, charter fishing boats, party fishing boats, public fishing pier, jet skis and boat rentals, gambling cruises or drive to Everglades for air boat and swamp buggy rides, Indian reservations, alligator farms, nature trails, kayaking, fishing, bird watching. Shopping: The Galleria Mall and The Shops on Las Olas are a 5-10 minute drive. Other shopping includes Sawgrass Mills outlet mall and the world's largest outdoor flea market known as the 'Swap Shop' should not be missed. Other activities include the Broward Performing Arts Center, Discovery museum, Art museum, and IMAX theater. Nightlife includes many restaurants, bars and nightclubs within walking distance from the home.

The kitchen has mahogany cabinets with stainless steel top of the line appliances built for a gourmet chef. Open bar with bar stools allows your guests to be part of the cooking show. The home has a complete theater system with indoor/outdoor built in speakers. French doors and lots of windows make the main floor an inviting environment. Descend to the separated first floor wing where you will find a laundry room with plenty of storage and cabinet space. There is a second master suite with a king bed and plush linens, a large private cabana bath with jacuzzi tub and glass stall shower, huge walk-in closet with built ins. There is a third guest bathroom in the hallway and another guest bedroom with two twin beds for additional guests.

This property and location were an exact match to our needs for the week. Excellent property in pristine condition, close to the beach- steps, very relaxing. The pool and jacuzzi were icing on the cake. Great experience I recommend it for a great get away!!!

Fantastic House

Stayed in the fantastic house for 1 week in August 2008, with my wife and 17 year old daughter. It really has to be seen to be believed, the size, layout and quality of furnishings are of the highest standard. The location a few yards from the beach is perfect and there are shops within walking distance for essentials. I did hire a car and did the malls and a bit of touring in southern florida, 4 hours to the keys, brilliant sunset!

Back to the house, the photographs really do not do it justice, as the dimensions of all the rooms are excellent, my wife particularly liked the kitchen. The pool is to die for relaxing under the waterfall to cool off, oh the memories.

With the layout the house is ideally suited to a large family or 2 families sharing. I will return, its not cheap but we all agreed that it was worth every "dime," thanks again. Alan

Many thanks to Walter who was an excellent communicator beforehand, welcomes you to the house and then leaves you to your own devices. We flew into Miami, in hindsight Ft Lauderdale was nearer and not as chaotic picking up the car rental.

Great house and location

Location, Location, Location...certainly applies to this house. You are close enough to downtown Fort Lauderdale if you want the hustle, but just far enough on the northern edge for an easy escape. Of course, once you see the back lawn, you may never want to leave the house. The pool area is fantastic and with a great gas grill, you really never have to leave. The walk to the beach is simple and easy. The park down the road is a great place to sit and people watch. The house is well taken care of, clean and very user friendly. Wireless internet, well appointed kitchen and outdoor stereo speakers are just some of the items that round out this great vacation rental.
