Quiet and Relaxing: This property is part of the nicest development in Tome Nevers: Tom Nevers East. The houses are all very nice by Nantucket standards and the residents and development association keep everything clean, the roads in good shape and respect the privacy of others. It is usually so quiet you might think you are the only inhabitants on the island. That means you can appreciate the activity of wildlife, the sounds of the wind and surf, the gentle tinkling of the wind chimes. The sun, wind and wildlife dominate as you sit out on the deck. For more dramatic views that include the ocean and Sankaty lighthouse. you can go out on the widow's walk -a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine at dusk. You will find that time slows considerably around the cottage. You will find it immensely restorative to fall easily into a nap.

Plenty to Do: When you are ready to get active, take our bikes out for a ride to Nantucket Town or Siasconset or around the bike trails that encircle the entire island. Go surf fishing off the near shore, swim, play on the beach. If you like kites you will love Nantucket! Go to any shore and launch even the biggest, fanciest kites on just about any day. Play golf at the local public course in Sisaconset. Play tennis on the Tom Nevers East courts just down the road from us -the court key is under the phone in the kitchen. The best place for all sorts of shopping is Nantucket Town. THere are a number of great museums in town, too. The old architecture there is like one giant museum, just stroll around town. Nantucket allows no traffic lights, neon signs or billboards. You will feel like you walked back in time! There is even an observatory in town with public lectures. Or you can take oour telescope out on the widows walk and do your own exploring.
