Month at Hampton

I stayed 4 weeks at Hampton, during the month of August. My family arrived on Saturday (Mom, Dad, Sister, 2 young daughters, and myself) and were allowed in early as the place was cleaned as soon as the prior people vacated. Very impressive!! We were able to "move in" and get ourselves setup just like home. The kitchen was wonderful with a new stove and a refirgerator that a Sunday football gaggle would love. The front porch worked out well for storage and keeping the cats locked up from bothering everyone as well as a play area. Yes, they allowed me to take my 2 cats. The central air allowed us to stay cool on those 90 degree and humid days, of which there were plenty. It was great having a 2 stall garage and room to store our beach supplies. It kept the beach from moving in as well. The washer and dryer were a huge savings on laundry. The bathroom was fairly roomy with plenty of storage. The cats were very impressed with the hiding space. The small grassy area and grill at the back door felt like the back yard. I loved this place. If I could afford to buy it, I would in a heartbeat (and if it was for sale!). We had an issue with electricity due to the transformer blowing up, and the owners were very responsive to our needs. My only gripe is that there is only one bathroom. Hampton is a great place to bring a family. There are so many things to do within walking distance including the beach, kid-friendly restaurants, playground, funarama arcade, shops, water slides, and plenty of room for walking. For the more adventurous there is shore fishing, deep-sea fishing, whale watches, and jet skis. There is all the shopping outlets which are only 30 minutes away as well as Watercountry, a big water park. This was one of our best family vacations ever.
