Someone with great taste and discrimination told us once that the Little Darling was the 'classiest place on Commercial Street'*. (To be honest, we couldn't tell how much or what he'd imbibed). But thing is that everyone who has stayed in our Little Darling has loved it. Really. By the way, for tons of details, do look at our very own scintillating website. We went to town on her: THE most comfortable bed we could find (we hate bad beds - what's the point of a vacation if you're bent over in pain in the morning?), a real kitchen with grown-up appliances (took us 4 months to figure out), fancy tiling, funky lighting, original art to titillate and amuse, surround sound (even plug your iPOD into it), cable, DVD, and, of course, for those of us who cannot live without it, wireless DSL. The Little Darling is a work of love. So we keep her in pristine condition: even wash the bedspread (really!) and shower curtain every time.

An Amazing Place!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this lovely cottage (10/22/09 thru 10/25/09) - it had everything you would ever need. The place was so clean. We had never been to Provincetown before but will definitely be back and hope to stay here again. We rented bikes and toured the Cape Cod Nat'l Seashore. We ate at so many wonderful restaurants (Jimmy's HideAway and Mews were the best) and the shopping was amazing! Thank you Ajith and Brenda for sharing your place with us. ~~ Glenda and Scott

Perfect PTown Experience

My partner and I spent a week (June 22-29) in this delightful and gorgeous little cottage in the West End of Provincetown. Apart from the fact that in renting a cottage you have privacy (a precious commodity in P-Town) "Little Darling" has the best location, just steps from Joe's Cafe and a nice general store. We went daily to both and we miss them already. The location in the West End keeps you sane as the downtown core gets rather crazy with the day visitors and the revellers in the evening. Little Darling is beautifully appointed, with a very nice kitchen and a startlingly clean bathroom with upscale features. The bath products were Aveda and the linens are what you would find at a 5-star hotel. We made breakfast and lunch every day (and one lamb dinner) in the galley kitchen. I can't for the life of me imagine how or why anyone would want to stay at a B&B or inn when you can have more space, complete privacy, and feel like a native all at the same time. All the materials in the cottage were first rate, and so very, very clean. The surround-sound system was a nice touch, and the TV came loaded with dozens of cable channels. There was also about 30 VCR videos, which offered some fun nostalgic entertainment. Just so you know there is a great DVD rental shop just a few blocks east. A couple blocks over is the Boatslip, home of the famous tea dances that run from 3-7. This is certainly an amazing spot for a couple. Only one caveat--the cottage is literally 10 inches from the street. This is great when you want to pretend you're in a private cafe, but sometimes you hear folks as they go by and during the day you might feel you are in a storefront window. Just adjust the blinds and curtains accordingly and you'll be fine. We loved Little Darling and we were quite sad to leave after our wonderful week in P-Town.
