Beautiful cottage on the ocean overlooking the Cape Porpoise harbor, Goat Island lighthouse and surrounding islands. Travel down the private dirt road to our house built in 2003, one of the best views in Maine. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is open concept, full of windows and light to take in the glorious ocean tidal views. Be pampered with the new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and gas fireplace. The cottage sleeps up to 6, is just 1 hour from Boston, a perfect all-season getaway. Kennebunkport center is 2 miles away, beaches 2 miles away. Gourmet restaurants and store right in Cape Porpoise, a nice walk/bike ride or quick drive. Lots of shopping, sightseeing in other nearby towns.

Nearest Beach: beach at 2.0 Miles
Kennebunkport offers 'village' atmosphere but with very upscale taste. Walk along Ocean Drive and look at the mansions. Stop for a delicious gourmet meal at the Arundel Inn or go 'family style' at Mabels. Go by the Bush compound and see if George is around. Cape Porpoise has the best breakfast at The Wayfarer, then lobsters and a cold beer at Nunan's for dinner, only 1 mile from home. Great outlet shopping in Freeport or do a ducktour in Portland. The Seadogs are a great baseball team for an inexpensive day. Beautiful Goose Rocks beach is only 2 miles away, beachside parking stickers are at the police station. Take a walk around the quiet, private roads of Land's End. Kayaking at high tide offers any level of adventure. The protection of surrounding islands gives even beginners the opportunity to explore on the water. Nearby Saco or Wells has every tourist attraction from water parks to mini golf. There is definitely something for everyone here.

Skiing: During the 'off season' we love to ski at the Sunday River Resort, just 1 1/2 hrs North. Have a great day there, then come home to paradise in Cape Porpoise.

We loved this property and really appreciated the fantastic views and the peaceful location. We also really enjoyed taking our kids out kayaking and sitting out on the deck for bbqs in the evening. The living room/eating area is lovely and this house is definitely one that you can enjoy just hanging outing in sometimes.
