Note:
Skopelos Town is the main population centre for the island, with many people living there year-round. This means that some shops, supermarkets and tavernas are opened year-round, with a larger choice during the touristic season.
Located in the historic old town of Skopelos, below the church of Panagia Papameletiou, a stay in our house will give you a taste of the traditional greek town living, in addition to enjoying your favorite outdoors, beach, or water sports activity. We hope that you will fall in love with this island and its people as we did. Few things in life are sweeter than admiring a sunset after a day of exploring the island, its beaches, and enjoying a glass of the locally made white wine at a taverna in Panormos, Agnodas or Skopelos town over fresh fish while commenting on the catch with the very fisherman who caught your dinner.

Besides the tavernas, evening activities include shopping at the beautiful handcraft shops on the waterfront where many gifted local and other greek artists exhibit their work. Activities available in the town (on the ´Paralia´, or shorefront) include boat excursions to Alonissos and the surrounding marine park. If you enjoy sailing or want to experience it for the first time, day trips on chartered boats are also available that will take you to Alonissos and the marine park as well with a stop for lunch and swimming. For the sports-minded, bicycle rentals and sea kayaking are also available. Enquire with us and we will give you the details on contacting sailing, biking, and kayaking companies. A number of christian monasteries can be reached by car, bicycle or foot, most of them on the Palouki area of the island, visible from the house terrace. Locally grown produce include the famous Skopelos plums, sour cherries, olives and olive oil, olive oil soap and honey, as well as, among others, citrus, apples, pears, bell peppers and chile.
