This large, beautiful, riverfront vacation home w/private beach, is ideally situated in Healdsburg, the heart of Sonoma Wine Country. It's located near the point where the Russian River flows through three world class wine growing valleys, (the Dry Creek, Alexander and Russian River Valleys). The home's large size rooms, comfortable furnishings and beautiful interior make it the perfect retreat for families, vacationers of all ages, wine enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers, and for those seeking weekend getaways with great friends... (Children are welcome.) It's also an ideal home away from home for those attending wine country weddings, and a great destination for business retreats. The home has three Cal King bedrooms, and provides privacy and comfort. Riverwood is just outside Healdsburg (just 1.2 miles from the city limits), and yet hidden away.     Due to the peaceful and residential nature of our neighborhood, no parties or special events are permitted, and the home is for the exclusive use of paying guests.
  • We have 4 riverfront vacation homes with beaches - see at WineCountryLodges for information and photos - For groups of 10 or more, you may want to consider booking two or more of our homes, and even kayak between them in the summer, for a great getaway experience. Northwoods Lodge which (sleeps 4-8) is just 4 doors away, Spacious Riverwood Lodge (sleeps 6-12) is 1/2 mile away, and our Charming Old River Lodge (sleeps 4-9) just 1 mile away.

Two additional rooms have comfortable Queen size beds with pillow top mattresses. The large recreation room has two full-size log futon beds. There's also a day bed (with trundle stored beneath.) Stored in the linen closet is a portable Pack 'N Play style baby bed, a high chair, two baby gates, and a baby sheet and blanket set.

The large recreation room on the lower level has a full size ping pong table, a large screen television. There are four TVs in the home. Outdoor amenities include a 5 person hot tub, a 5 person sauna, an outdoor hot and cold shower, private beach, and two kayaks. Communal pool avail. through passes to top quality private health club. It's a great place to make memories!: What a great place to make memories! Gather in the large dining room for memorable meals around the impressive oval table, or enjoy grilling and dining on the covered river view deck. Prepare sumptuous dishes using fresh, locally grown, produce, available from local farms (found by following Farm Trails maps), or visiting the farmer's markets held in Healsburg's Plaza. You'll find this home to be comfortable and filled with things to interest every age. Guests have commented that it feels like a home where four generations would want to gather to share Thanksgiving dinner, and we agree. To make sure that everyone is comfortable, too, we provide three King size rooms, two Queens, and more. We invite you to come and discover all that Riverwood has to offer!

Things to do, and amenities.: The younger generation will love the recreation room, with it's comfortable rustic decor, ping pong table, gigantic television, and room to play. In the living room, the stone fireplace, leather sofas, television, board games, travel and nature library, and plentiful seating invite adults to relax and enjoy their stay. Then there are the hot tub, kayaks, and beach to explore... family fun and outdoor adventure opportunities abound. The decks have plenty of lounging furniture, and a very comfy round lounge that almost guarantees you'll be nodding off for a nap the moment you lay back for a relaxing view of the river. We have something for everyone, including free WIFI Internet and use of our IPod/MP3 player, docking station & recharger. An interesting note is that Riverwood Lodge was formerly the vacation home of Oakland Raider's Super Bowl winning coach, Ollie Spencer, where he enjoyed entertaining friends. His Super Bowl trophy was formerly displayed in the great room.

Our group had a fantastic time staying at this house. It's great for groups as it has a large common area, great deck and plenty of very comfortable beds. Everything was in excellent condition - our group really felt at home. The location right on the river was perfect and was just a short drive in to downtown Healdsburg. The rental company was a true delight to work with. It was so refreshing to work with such honest and kind people. I've already recommended this home to others thinking of staying in the area and I definitely plan to return myself.

Our Stay in The Wine Country

We loved this house so much. We had three couples stay and it was perfect. The beds were super comfortable, showers were always hot, and we had a perfect view out back. They called us when we got there to make sure everything was fine, and it was. We loved being so close to the town of Healdsburg. They have wonderful restaurants and grocery stores for all your needs. We would stay at this place again or one of their sister houses. We loved having internet access also that helped out a lot. I would say the only thing they could do better is have more wine glasses for the house. We love to drink our wine with good glasses. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.
Owner's Response: We're so happy when guests enjoy our home! Recently, behind the scenes we were busy testing, and re-testing, mattresses until we found just the right comfy ones. We upgraded the water system, too, for an endless supply of hot water. To hear that our guests appreciate those things is our reward. We feel so embarassed, though, and didn't realize we were getting low on wine glasses! We immediately fixed that by buying two dozen more. Thank you for letting us know, and keeping us on our toes!

We had a wonderful time. Riverwood was the perfect setting for our annual get away for 7. The kitchen area was able to accommodate multiple cooks, as well as spectators. We enjoyed late night discussions in front of the fireplace, and long soaks in spa. We appreciate the time and attention spent furnishing the house and providing we we needed for inside and outside dining. Thank you for your professional and responsive service. May we stay again next year?

All I can say is WOW. What a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. We had 6 adults and 2 kids stay here for the week and never ran into each other. More than enough room, easy to find, and a quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the fresh limes off the tree in our evening coctails. I have reccomended this to some of my friends, and we are planning a return trip to see more of wine country.
