Located in Barnstead, in the midst of New Hampshire's Lakes Region, on cozy grounds hidden among the trees you will find your peaceful and private retreat. Relax, unwind, and enjoy yourself in our brand new, two bedroom home. When you arrive you will find; a modern kitchen with all the necessities, a warm and inviting family room where you can sit by the fireplace and listen to music or watch some TV (cable) or one of the DVD's in our small collection. In the bedrooms you can lie back on the fresh linens and listen to the soothing sounds of the stream behind the house. The bathroom is complete with towels and toiletries, and to help you relax a whirlpool tub. A game room downstairs that both the little and big kids will enjoy. A large wrap-around deck where you can barbecue or sit back and enjoy the surroundings. Locke Lake is full of fun. The main beach is about a mile from the house and is complete with in-ground swimming pool and a life guard.

The beach also has a playground, fishing, picnic, and parking area. Just down the street is another in-ground pool and tennis courts. Also, about a mile from the house is a free six-hole golf course that the whole family can enjoy. We provide all the passes! A short walk from the house you will find a beautiful view of the lake and one of the smaller beaches that you are sure to love. Also, if you like fishing or just want to paddle around the lake, our canoe is at the boat dock just a short walk from the house.

My family and I traveled from RI to have a quiet weekend away. We arrived in under three hours. For my kids it was love at first sight. The video games, foosball table, pooltable and big screen tv complete with movies was exactly what they wanted to see. The home is very comfortable and relaxing. The deck was very comfortable to eat on and there is no traffic as you are at the very end of a dead end road. The lake is gorgeous and BIG! It was fun to explore the different shops and parks on route 28. Peace and quiet with the relaxing sound of running water ushered us to sleep each night. You can't go wrong!!

We had a wonderful time at the house. Four adults and four kids (ages 10, 7, 6, and 3) and we had plenty of room.
We went skiing and tubing at Gunstock which was less then 30 minutes away and had great ski conditions for an east coast resort.

Getting to the house might be an issue immediately after a heavy snowstorm. The roads leading to the house is unpaved but we had no trouble on it with front wheel drive mini-vans even though it was partially snow covered.

This was a great place for a weekend getaway. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at your wonderful home and loved the private setting! The amenities provided were great...just about everything you could ask for. We had such a good time and the house was much more than we were expecting, so clean and so nicely decorated too!

The weather was absolutely perfect...beautiful sunny days and cool nights. I had forgotten how wonderful the weather in NH was and how clean the air is (lived in NH years ago). I'm really hoping to be able to go back to your home at Locke Lake in the very near future.

Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful spot with us.

What a GREAT home for a family vacation. For the young and old(or those who like to call themselves young at heart) there is something for everyone. The owners are wonderful and provide many extras! Very private setting but only minutes from the mall for those who enjoy shopping. No doubt we will visit again!
