Our private house located 'off the access road' is considered 'on' mountain but without all the on mountain headaches. This has been our 'baby' for the last 20 years. If you are not interested in caring for this house as if it was your own, please don't inquire. Originally built to be 2 separate units the upstairs has 2 bedrooms plus loft, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, sitting area. The downstairs has its own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting area - they are connect by an inside staircase. This is ideal for children to be downstairs and the adults to enjoy upstairs. The house has 3 TV's with cable, some have VCR or DVD units. The upstairs has a woodstove, CD player and lots of games, plus gas grill outside. The view off the deck is the mountain and you see 'the Cats' grooming the mountain until earlier morning. The mountain on-call shuttle service is available on weekends, holidays and school vacations during the ski season, and stops at the end of the driveway.

Truly a 4 seasons resort, Sugarloaf offers something for everyone. The mountain area offers skiing, cross-country skiing, turbo-tubing, skating and an indoor anti-gravity center with trampolines, rock climbing and a fitness center. Wonderful restaurants on and off mountain and night life. Day care center, children's ski programs, and adult ski lessons. Health club with pool. Many special events on mountain during vacation weeks for adults as well as children. Many nights with fireworks, which can be viewed from the house. In the Summer the area offers hiking, canoeing, biking, rafting and golf at Maine's premier facility; the Robert Trent Sugarloaf Golf course.
