Lovely private Gulf of Mexico Frontage vintage home... this is a lovingly maintained private home, the home features an all wood tongue and groove interior reminding us of a New England camp. The home has extensive rear oceanfront sun decks leading to a large private gazebo, on a bluff, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Fully furnished in a casual and comfortable style this home affords spectacular gulf sunsets from the second story master suite as well as the common areas living and dining rooms downstairs.
Fully stocked with all of the comforts you would expect, the home provides an excellent atmosphere for reading, reflection, relaxation, private beach access, high speed wireless internet, cable TV, outside shower, BBQ grill and of course all of the pleasures of private beachfront living.
Located 1/2 mile south of the Stickney Point bridge, we are located conveniently to the south village which has many fine shops and restaurants

Located within walking distance of fine restaurants, shopping, grocery stores the convenient location can not be beat. The place is on a dead end street with a very private setting. Clayton's Siesta Grill is a signature restaurant in the South Siesta Village, now serving breakfast and another favorite is Javiers which features fine Peruvian fare. Just across the bridge is Panera Bread, the shops of Gulf Gate, Stonewood Grill and Carabas and the shops of the Sarasota Pavilion.

My name is Chris Hicklin. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was raised in New York State. I attended Kennesaw University and Emery University in Atlanta. I Graduated Cum Laude from Life University in Marietta Georgia and have been a practicing full time practicing Chiropractor at 3220 Clark Road, Sarasota, Florida since 1981. I have two wonderful children, a son and daughter, both grown and out on their own. I purchased this home in 1998 and have enjoyed all of the fine people I have met through their vacations here. I live on the property and have enjoyed sharing this unique beachfront property with an amazing group of people from corporate COE's to airline pilots to fine artists to international diplomats...just about every walk of life imaginable. The wonderful relationships I have made through the sharing of this unique property has enriched our lives. I come from a family with close ties to Southwest Florida and throughout my early years visited relatives in the area every summer while I was in school. On my 16th birthday, still living in New York but spending the summer in Florida I announced that I would move to Florida when I completed my studies. 3 months after taking my degree at Life College I moved to Sarasota with my new wife and started our family here. I purchased the beach house from old friends, he a retired World War 11 United States Navy Captain and she a writer. I could think of no better place to raise our children and to spend my life, it has been a dream. Living on this barrier Island...Siesta Key... is wonderful.
The house sits on sandy seaside bluff, on a dead end street, at the end of a wooded 300 foot driveway, a mere 30 feet from the sea. The elevation is without parallel, the ground floor elevation is 14 feet above sea level which affords it a one of a kind perspective on seaside living. The property is very private, truly a one of a kind tropical paradise.
We were there with our 3 kids (9, 11, 13) over Fall Break and I can't say enough good things. The place was beautiful, location ideal, and overall just made for an amazing vacation. No need to go out for dinner we had a beautiful, sunset/water view right from our own patio. Chris was very accommodating and wonderful to work with. Really, one of the best vacations I've ever had! Thank you!
Perfect beach house with an amazing amount of privacy. Me spent most of our time just relaxing and enjoying the Ocean from the deck and under the gazebo. My wife and I did what we do best on vacation - a whole lot of nothing. This beach house is perfect and was well maintained and equipped. Chris is very laid back and easy to deal with making the experience seamless and comfortable. Will definitely be headed back to this property.
An amazing property, very clean and comfortable. Felt like home from the moment we walked through the door. Sunsets out on the deck were amazing. Very private feel yet close to everything. Owner was a dream to work with. Enjoyed walking throughout the village, some nice quaint shops. Check out the Florida Wines at the Wine Shop... Not that impressed with Captain Curts, but enjoyed most everything else we visited. We willl definitely be back!
What a perfect place to spend our honeymoon! The cottage is clean, roomy and beautifully decorated in soothing blues, creams and yellows. Gorgeous views of the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico, great snorkeling and sea shell hunting just steps from the back door, a short drive to fun shops and restaurants. And you won't believe the sand on Siesta Key Beach.

Thank you Chris!! This house is a hidden gem. I’m so thankful that we found it. The house is well represented in the pictures, everything was just as it was shown. The house itself is equipped with just about everything you could possibly need including, small crockpot, blender, coffee makers and plenty of cookware. The master bedroom is amazing, the view is spectacular and having the bathroom was a plus! The house was extremely comfortable, as soon as we walked in we felt like we were home and we were instantly in vacation mode.
We spent our time at the house on the deck overlooking the ocean. The view is amazing, coffee in the morning watching the dolphins swim by and playing, does it get any better? We had two teenage boys with us and they spent their time fishing. (Invest in a reel at one of the local shops or an entire pole setup for that matter and a fishing licensing - you won't be sorry!) The boys were out there for hours on end.
The house was super convenient, there’s a convenience store right down the street, a pizza shop, beach access and Captain Curt’s and the Sniki Tiki all within walking distance. This house is amazing.

Our south Siesta location is convenient to Crescent Beach, Siesta Beach and Turtle beaches. Just a quick hop over the bridge to the mainland, and you are on highway 41.
Within a 15 minute drive are Sarasota Square Mall, Southgate Mall, the shops of Gulf Gate, and beautiful downtown Sarasota's arts and cultural activities. Just across the bridge from downtown is the lovely shopping and dining experience of St. Armands Circle.
It's a quick drive out Clark Road to the interstate, the activities of Tampa, Orlando and points south are all within an easy few hours trip.
