This cozy log cabin is nestled in the woods perfect for some well deserved R & R. Wildlife right in your backyard. All this without the long drive to the U.P. This versatile mid-Michigan cabin can accommodate up to 8 with it's log twin over full bunk beds the kids will just love. Or perhaps a cozy retreat for you and that special someone. Romantic master suite in the loft with a private bath and of course a jacuzzi tub, a Mom and Dad getaway special! Just bring your toothbrushes and clothes, everything else has been thought of. All linens and towels, coffee, tea, cocoa, kitchen items, sugar and spices, washer & dryer. This place is fully stocked, your home away from home. We also have movies for all ages. Sit back on the deck, relax and watch the deer roam through. The cabin does not have wireless internet access...this is the woods time to log off and relax! However, you will be able to access the Internet at the Clubhouse.
This cabin is located in a gated community with 4 small private non-motorized lakes, one of which is only a short stroll away. Perfect for teaching the little ones how to fish. Spend some quality time with your family or simply take yourself for a quiet walk to enjoy all the beauty Michigan has to offer. Deer, Wild Turkey and other wildlife abound in this heavily wooded community. Quiet and so serene that you can almost hear the snowflakes hitting the ground.
My husband and I, along with our 2 kids (ages 8 and 4 months) and in-laws stayed at the log cabin this past weekend. We were actually celebrating my husband's birthday and had brought our quads up to ride on the trails. Upon arrival, the cabin was beautiful and the interior was nice and well stocked--towels, shampoo/conditioner, condiments, cooking utensils, etc. We actually only brought ourselves, towels for the pool, and accessories for the baby. It was especially nice to have access to a washer and dryer (with detergent available). My daughter especially enjoyed the pool table, table hockey, abundance of movies, and games. Although we did not see any wildlife (despite putting out apples), we were able to enjoy the fire pit and dry wood available. The biggest downfall of the cabin that we found was the bed in the loft area (it was "well used" and my husband kept rolling towards the edge of the bed due to the wear in the mattress). Other than that, I was a little disappointed in the fact that our 4 month old was counted as "a guest" in the charge and that the trails were not as close (they were 30 minutes away).....the only recommendation that I have is to provide a safety gate that could easily be used to block the downstairs stairway as it was close to the bathroom/bedroom doors and could easily become hazardous for guests in the middle of the night. Other than that, I would definitely recommend the log cabin in Farwell!

Owner's Response: Thank you for submitting your review. Sounds like you and your family had a memorable time at the cabin. In regards to charging for your 4 mo. old, I was not informed that one of your guests was an infant. I would have gladly made adjustments in pricing had I known this. You are the first guest to comment on the loft bed being uncomfortable I will have to check into this. Thank you for taking the time to submit your review I am glad you were able to enjoy all the amenities the cabin offers.
Beautiful stting. Great place to enjoy the colors of dall. The cabin was great. Quaint, clean, and just a great place to get away from it all and spend time with family. We enjoyed dishing, swimming at the pool and a day of miniature golf. Every morning we were greeted with deer passing through as we ate breakfast. We did all our cooking and the cabin was well stocked with evrything we needed. We highly recommend this place.
My husband & I, along with 2 other couples rented this cabin for our motorcycle trip the 2nd week in Sept. 2014. This place had everything, and I mean EVERYTHING!! When you're on a motorcycle you are limited on packing space, so anything you don't need to pack just makes more room. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash soap and even a hair dryer were provided. Kitchen was very well stocked also. Have been in many cabins in the US where they had maybe 1 fry pan and a couple of sauce pots. Here we had a griddle for pancakes, a crockpot for chili, and a bunch of more stuff I don't even have in my own kitchen. lol It was clean, the views were wonderful and it was quiet. If you get a chance we recommend going into Clare to "Cops and Doughnuts" and then to Jay's sporting goods. About the only thing we can say was bad, was the placement of the TV in the living room area. After watching a movie one evening we all had a "crick" in our necks from looking up where it was attached to the wall, a little high up. Will recommend this cabin to others and may use it again ourselves.
The cabin is even better than described and pictured! We so loved having the fridge and cupboards stocked with condiments and necessities and the bathrooms as well! Such a beautiful setting! We were visited often by deer ..... and chickens! The nearby lake was lovely for fishing and swimming! Our girls loved this place! Can't wait to go back!!!!
