This charming Palace was originally constructed in the 17th Century and was completely restored in 1993 by Rafael Manzano, the first and only Spanish architect to win the prestigious Richard H. Driehaus prize for classic architecture. For this reason, Casa Palacio San José shares features with the Alfonso XIII hotel, a point of reference for locals and elite travellers from all over the world. Decorated in a traditional Andalusian style, this two bedroom apartment is for those looking for something special during their time in Seville. A stay in this apartment offers guests a unique opportunity to experience life within an authentic Seville house. The standout feature of the building is its interior patio – complete with fountain, Roman pillars and individual balconies, this light-filled space is the perfect place in which to escape the heat during the summer months. The apartment is located on the second floor of the building. No expense has been spared in its furnishing and decoration, with marble flooring, antique furniture and individual style touches throughout. Thanks to the marble floors and interior patio, the property is kept naturally cool during the warm summer months. The living and dining area is spacious and bright, with plenty of sitting space and access to the large private terrace. This is just one of three separate outdoor spaces that guests can make use of,each giving different view over the city. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything guests may need during their stay. Each of the double bedrooms is bright and comfortable and the two bathrooms have been decorated with traditional Spanish tiles.Guests also have use of the communal area on the top floor of the house, which includes laundry facilities and a small kitchen. The apartment is located in Santa Cruz, one of the oldest barrios in Seville, andbrimming with beautiful Gothic and Mudejar churches and classical Spanish architecture. As well as being ideally situated for the nearby shops, restaurants and services, the apartment is within easy walking distance of many of the city’s must-see sights and attractions including the Giralda, the RealesAlcazares and the Cathedral. On Sunday mornings the nearby Alameda de Hercules is home to a market where you can buy everything from local produce to traditional handicrafts. For larger groups, this property can be combined with Casa Palacio San Jose I and Casa Palacio San Jose II, There is a garage available upon request. Surface area: 115m2 + 55m2 private terrace + 100m2 communal terrace + 80m2 solarium. 2nd floor with lift. The apartment is accessed through a private patio (communal areas) with a lift that leads up to the second floor. Entrance leads to a hall and fully equipped kitchen on the right and a guest toilet. From the hall on your left your access the 25m2 living room furnished with a sofa, coffee table and chairs and a dining table to seat 4. The bedrooms are accessed from the living room through a short corridor. Both bedrooms have 2 beds (0.90cm x 1.90cm) and a dressing table. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with bathtub and built in cupboard space. Please note that there are marble floors throughout the apartment. The 55m2 private terrace is accessed from the living room and is equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining. Washing machine and drier are situated in the communal washroom (shared with 2 other apartments) situated on the loft where there is also access to more than 100m2 of communal terrace.
It is a classic Andalusian building, lovely restored to comply with the art of the area, the property is comfortable well decorated with wonderful art from the area, it's location is superb, within walking distance to everything. It has many wonderful surprises the size of Apt. 1 is superb for families traveling together, large living, dining and reading room, not common in rentals, that includes high end. We loved the owners passion for their house, and it is a unique experience. The house is well maintained and very clean. Spain Select description is very accurate, and would add the bonus of your own balconies to see the processions.
We were 2 couples so 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were a must. This apartment offered us so much more. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. We loved the patio and spent many evenings enjoying the bells of churches and the little bats flying overhead. The owner has paid attention to every detail and you will be well taken care of by the staff. It was a lovely oasis arriving after a hot day of touring the city. I would stay here again in a minute.
This stunning apartment in Seville, Spain was a dream come true! It is beautifully appointed in every aspect and is even better than the photo's portray. The furnishings were gorgeous. The decor was beautiful. The floorplan was ideal. The terrace views were amazing. And the amenities were fantastic and included fine linens/towels and a fully stocked kitchen. Everything was cleaned to perfection and spotless.
And the location could not have been better!
We were close to all the major attractions and could walk everywhere. The market was convenient as well. We were able to get everything we needed to make coffee & breakfast in the morning and enjoy on our own private terrace (off the living room) which was lush with beautiful bouganvilla. In the evenings, we enjoyed incredible sunsets with wine and tapas on the upper terrace. It was all magnificent!
I also want to mention that the rental process and service from Spain Select was outstanding. Everything was managed in a prompt, efficient and professional manner. All personnel could not have been more accomodating! I would highly recommend Spain Select to family and friends if they are ever traveling to Spain. I have traveled all over Europe and this was one of the most impressive accomodations I have seen yet!
