Description of the Franconia vacation house rental
On 10 acres between Cannon Mountain and the center of Franconia (each 5 minutes away), this secluded three-floor house with a bath on each floor permits very civilized and easy living. Furnishings are a mix of New England country antiques and practical modern. A large two-car garage has a covered walkway to the house.
The main floor has a spacious living/dining room with a wood stove, a master bedroom with full bath, and a wrap-around deck with a clear view of Cannon Mountain. The big loft has a futon/queen size sofa that becomes a comfortable bed and two twin beds in a large loft area, a separate small BR with queen bed, plus a 1/2 bath (extra height shower). The lower level has a full bath with whirlpool jets, a full-size futon bed, one twin (day) bed, and additional full-size futon (floor use), in a open floor plan with a big play/dance area with multi-function game table, rocking chairs, crib, TV with full cable service, VCR, DVD and stereo. Wireless broadband throughout.

Fall leaf season offers some of the best access to the special northern areas like flume trail, Crawford notch, bridalveil falls. House comes with our excellent guide book of best trails, secret spots, what to find where. Winter skiing at x-contry is everywhere your AMC book with take you -- Franconi notch state park bike path is 8 miles uninterrupted. Downhill options Cannon (5 min) Loon (20 min) Sunday River (1.25 hr) and Dixville Notch (.75 hr). Franconia is known for the Flume gorge, town rink, golf course, and active glider airport -- all open to the public. Exceptional dining in colonial setting at Lovetts Inn is walking distance.
