This summerhouse was built in 2005 and is 65 square meters. It has two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a living room. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed. The second bedroom has double bed. In the living room is a sleeping sofa for two. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary tools, a good fridge and a dishwasher. A big flat TV screen and is in the living room. The bathroom has a very good shower. There is also a hot tub to use after a long travelling day, ideal for relaxing.
The house has a wide terrace from where you can enjoy the panorama Mountain View while preparing the BBQ.
In 2010 when we bought this beautiful summerhouse. At that time it was fairly new and the interiour almost ready, but outdors remained lots of work to be done. Since then we have invested our time in building a new veranda, installing the hot tub and preparing a good playground. Now when everyting is in pristine condition we want to share this wonderful log cabin with others.
Sigurbjörn Björnsson purchased this cottage in 2010
We stayed for 3 nights in this amazing cabin. It was warm and cosy, and very well equipped. We visited the Geysir and Gullfoss on the first day, and then drove down to Vik on the second day and stopped at the other waterfalls on the way. The hot tub was a great place to relax each evening and was nice and hot! The view from the cabin is great and would be a good place to see the northern lights from, although sadly we had cloudy skies each night.
Sigurbjörn was an amazing host, he met us when we arrived and directed us to the cabin. He also pulled us out of a ditch when we got stuck in deep snow! He left a phone for us to reach him on and was always happy to help if we had any questions. I also told Sigurbjörn that I was going to propose to my girlfriend whilst we were there and he went out of his way to get a bottle of champagne for me...she said yes btw! :)
It was a very memorable holiday. We would have loved to stay longer, and would definitely recommend staying in this cabin.

We had a brilliant time in the cottage. It is much more spacious than it looks. It is very well equipped. We particularly loved the waffle maker! One of the best things about it is the underfloor heating. Even when it was -10 oc outside it was warm and cosy inside. The heating stays on at night too. The hot tub is also fantastic;really warm. The location is excellent. It is half an hour from Geysir and Gulfoss and about an hour and a half from the Blue Lagoon. It is also well placed for visiting the South coast. We went to the black sand beach near Vik and the glacier, which was incredible. The cottage is in a good location to see the Northern Lights as there is very little light pollution nearby. It is very peaceful. The owner is really helpful and met us late at night to make sure that we found the cottage. We would have loved to stay longer!
My wife and I stayed at this cabin from 24-30 December and had a great time! The cabin is located in a great location to see all the sites along the Golden Circle. The owner was an absolute joy to work with and handled all of our requests and questions without missing a beat! He takes customer service to the next level and makes your comfortable stay priority number 1! The cabin itself is beautiful it has all the amenities one could think of. We were very fortunate to see Northern lights on 3 nights - there is absolutely no light pollution in the area so the viewing is incredible! If I had to sum up our thoughts on the cabin in one phrase it would be 'why stay anywhere else?!?!?' We had an excellent vacation in Iceland and hope to return one day during the summer/early fall - if we do, we will definitely book a return stay at the cabin!
A lovely, cosy and beautifully furnished cabin. Such a great place to relax, especially after days out exploring the area- the hot tub was also appreciated!! The owner was very helpful, even meeting us at the main road so we wouldn't get lost, after arriving at night. All in all, would definitely recommend coming here and would certainly like to stay again another time.
the property was in a great location convenient for all the major sights. It was well equipped and beautifully furnished. The owner was very helpful and very friendly. All in all a fantastic experience and I would strongly recommend the property to anyone wanting to visit the golden circle. Oh and the hot pot was excellent to relax in after a day out.
