2 bedrooms, 1 and 1/2 baths, sleeps 5

Private double A-frame on 5 acres. Huge sloping lawn (great sledding) with spectacular view of Okemo/ Jackson Gore. 2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths plus kids loft sleeps 4 adults and up to 6 with kids. Broadband DSL Internet service with wired and wireless capability, as well as satellite television with 40 inch HDTV and Blue Ray DVD player. Sofa bed sectional couch in great room. Wood stove (with firewood) has glass doors. Amenities also include tub shower, spiral stairs, cathedral ceiling,carpeting, raised slate floor and air conditioning unit. Kitchen has brand new refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, new gas range,dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers.

Large deck has table and outdoor seating with exterior speakers and Weber charcoal BBQ.

Pet is permitted only with prior approval !

The Okemo Valley: We are central to most area attractions. Plenty to do for kids or adults.

Ludlow offers a full grocery store, hardware store, post office, banks. Many shops and resturants.

Check out Plesant Valley Foods and Singletons Store just outside of Ludlow in the village of Proctorsville.

Great snack bar with tables outside and a Friday Night Fish Fry that cannot be beat.

Crows Corner Bakery offers snacks and healthy baked treats. Vegitarian Chili.

Manchester Outlet shopping is about 30 mins away.

Rutland Diamond Run Mall offers an arcade for rainy days.

Swim, bike, fish all within a couple miles of the house

Sand beach, food concession, boat (canoe, paddleboat, rowboat) rentals, fishing, bathrooms, change rooms and plenty of parking. Horseback riding stables (2) are available within 5 miles.

    1/2 payment of the total reserves you stay and the balance is due 3 weeks prior to your arrival. Payments can be made via PayPal.

    We do NOT accept cancellations.

    Check in is at 5pm on the day of your arrival, check out is at 11am unless prior arrangements have been made.

    A cleaning fee of $75 will be added to your stay

Beautiful Christmas Spot

We had a lovely white Christmas at what we called the Christmas Chalet. Perfect for our little family. (boys 8 and 2). The kids went sledding right out the back door. The town of Ludlow was cute and offered wonderful dinning. We will be back soon.

We were looking for a quiet place in Vermont to get away from the city (NY). This property delivers on many levels. It is a few minutes from Echo Lake and central to travel to other towns in Vermont easily. The best part of the chalet is the view of Okemo, surrounded by trees and stars and sounds of the forest. The house was appointed with all we needed to stay connected to NYC, and the owners and property manager made themselves available for any assistance.

We imagine that it would be even better in the Fall/Winter.

BTW, We spent three nights dining at The Downtown Grocery, easily one of the best dining experiences in the tri-state area.

Wish we had stayed longer

We only stayed in this property for 3 days but could easily have stayed a lot longer. The description of the property was spot-on. There seemed to be everything you could need including wood for the wood stove.

Whilst we loved it, and this is not criticism of the property, the spiral staircase leading to the 'bedroom' might be difficult for anyone with reduced mobility.

Property was clean and maintained to a high standard. It was in a beautiful, secluded position but might be too isolated and off the beaten track for some. It was so nice to sit out on the deck looking towards Okemo State Forest.

The nearest town, Ludlow, had everything you could need. If you like steak try Sam's Steakhouse. We would recommend the property to friends.

This place is great!

The house is wonderful, and the surroundings are beautiful and quiet. My husband and I did not want to leave and go back home. We are already planning our next visit. Additionally, there are plenty of offerings in the area to keep you entertained.

The house and back yard are very well maintained. The description and photos for the house are spot on.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
