A great place to get away from the city and relax!

Stonewall Cottage is a great place for a relaxing weekend! The cottage is well-maintained, clean, and well-equipped. The deck overlooking the lake is an amazing spot for reading, eating, and conversation - the wind whispers through the pine branches overhead, and the view of the lake is great. We heard loons every day, and saw a blue heron and a woodpecker.
There was a gas grill outside during our visit, which made grilling that much more enjoyable (if you prefer gas to charcoal, I guess!). There was also a hammock, which made for great afternoon naps.
The owners were helpful and communicative in answering our questions.
If there are two things to be aware of, it's that 1) the bathroom is a tight fit (claw-footed bathtub refitted with a shower and low ceiling), 2) the lake level has dropped in the last few years, so you'll have to paddle through a few weeds to get to open water.
These are totally worth dealing with in order to spend an unplugged weekend at the lake, though! We can't wait to get back to Stonewall!
