Photos and Description of the Barnstead vacation house rental

A lovely 3 bedroom home with a beautiful view of Locke Lake in a private community of seasonal and year-round homes. The beach is about 100 yards infront of our property. Bring your boat, canoe, kayak or water toys and enjoy the lovely 160 acre private lake. And don't forget your fishing gear for catch and release fishing. Locke Lake Association has a 6 hole golf course and 2 in-ground pools with at least 2 playgrounds. One playground's just steps away at the beach. We are about 20 minutes from Laconia, 30 minutes from Weir's beach attractions, 30 minutes from Concord, 30 minutes from Tilton factory outlets.

Association beach approximately 100 yards in front of house. Just 25 minutes to Gunstock Ski Area for winter or summer fun. Only 25 to 35 minutes to Mt. Major and other hiking, downtown Laconia or Weirs Beach attractions. Take a ride on Lake Winnipesaukee on the Mt. Washington just 20 minutes away on Alton Bay.

If it's shopping you want, then drive to either Concord or Tilton, both have great shopping just 30 minutes away. Easy day trip to the White Mountain attractions. Plenty of restaurants or diners 5 to 30 minutes away. Or just take a relaxing drive through the back country roads.

Relaxing week at the lake

This place worked out great for our family. It is clean and has a nice layout. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The kitchen had loads of utensils/pots/pans. They did not provide things like spices/extra toilet paper etc but it is only 10-15 mins to the supermarket.

The beach is across the street from the house. So convenient.

We travelled as 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone felt there was enough room. It's not fancy- but it is nice and clean.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed ourselves. beach was very convienent and the neighborhood was quiet.Iwould highly recomend.

Perfect family getaway

My family went with 4 adults, 1 - 5 yr old, and 2 - 1.5 yr olds. everyone had a great time. The home is large and open, the grand living room over looking the yard and beach was superb. Great yard to play in, nice patio area to relax and watch the boats go bye. A few hundred feet and your at the large beach with swing set and a large grass area. We had an excellent time.

The house was great, the enviroment was really good for family fun. The Owner was extremely helpful, and i'd reccomend the place to anyone. It was clean and well-maintained, overall it's a really good house.

We needed a place big enough for 8 adults and not to far from New Hampshire Motor Speedway! This place was perfect! Beautiful area, clean cottage, having a washer & dryer was excellent! Would highly recommend!!!!
