Cozy Mountain Cottage with Stone Fireplace & Deck

I just loved our stay in the Round House. Very convenient location. Super comfortable beds. Pet friendly, especially if you have them with you downstairs. Upstairs area has only two steps to enter on the side of the house, so very easy for older folks who are ambulatory. Beautiful stonework all around. Well made home, I could not hear my parents upstairs and they couldn't hear me and my two dogs downstairs. I can only imagine how beautiful the grounds must be when the rhododendrons are in bloom. It was fun to sit on the upper deck and watch the birds and squirrels. I had only two concerns. One being the narrow, steep stairway leading from the kitchen upstairs to the downstairs level. I preferred to enter the downstairs from outside, which was super easy and no big deal. The other was the stone wall at the end of the driveway. Just be aware that it is there, especially your first time arriving. After you learn to negotiate it, it's no sweat. The driveway is a little steep, but not too bad and leads through the beautiful grounds, past a lovely garden area. We definitely plan to return.
